Question from Edward:

Hello how would you compare the brightness of this 20 watt system to that of a 40 watt fluorescent? Would your product be as bright ? Warmer or cooler too?

Answer from Pegasus:

It would depend on the exact type of fluorescent but generally speaking I would expect 40W of fluorescent to be brighter than 20W of xenon. This product emits a warm white light. Fluorescent can emit warm white or cool white so again it depends on the type of fluorescent.

Question from Ed:

A previous question asks if the fixture can be wired to a wall switch, and the answer given is yes. How is this done; do you have instructions for this? We're going to have an electrician install this. Thank you.

Answer from Pegasus:

Ed, check out the installation instructions for how to wire the fixture. You simply run wire from the wall switch to the light fixture. An electrician will have no problem with this.

Question from Cheryl:

This is exactly what I am looking for but had hoped it could be hardwired to a wall switch. Any suggestions?

Answer from Pegasus:

Cheryl, it can absolutely wire to a wall switch.

Question from Linda McCray:

I need to light a painting in a wall cove in a commercial setting. I would like to have lighting inside the cove. I would place the light near the outside of the interior top of the cove. The inside above area would be white to reflect the light. Attached are specifications of the cove. Will this light system be adequate to light a painting that fills the back wall of the cove or is there another option you would recommend? Any advise would be appreciated.

Answer from Pegasus:

Linda, these specific fixtures are truly best for under cabinet lighting because they direct light in one direction (down). I would recommend using a fixture that's specifically designed for cove lighting applications, e.g. LED strip lights or microfluorescent fixtures. These types of products are ideal for indirect lighting because they are omnidirectional. http://www.pegasuslighting.com/cove-lighting.html

Question from Mike:

Do you know the color temperature of this light?

Answer from Pegasus:

Mike, the color temperature of the included xenon light bulbs is 3000K, warm white. Thanks!

Question from Steve Peterson:

I am replacing hard-wired rear-mounted florescent fixtures under cabinets, but want to mount this product at the cabinet's front edge. The cabinets have a one-inch recess. Do you have a low profile (white) junction box suitable for under-counter use that I then can use either an interconnect cord or power cord to bring power to the fixture?

Answer from Pegasus:

Steve, unfortunately this product does not have a junction box accessory. Our Priori fixtures, our most popular xenon under cabinet lights, do have a junction box accessory that will allow for that type of installation. http://www.pegasuslighting.com/xenon-task-lights-p043.html
