Question from Howard Thorkilson:
Answer from Pegasus:Howard, check out this blog post we put together on how to layout recessed lights. http://blog.pegasuslighting.com/2010/09/how-to-layout-recessed-lighting-in-4-easy-steps/#at_pco=cfd-1.0&at_ab=per-2&at_pos=1&at_tot=5&at_si=544e6911fac9e996 You want to space them about 3ft from the walls. The spacing between is determined by the ceiling height. Since they are sloped, use the height about 3ft from the walls.
Question from George Bossie:
Answer from Pegasus:No, this item is not a baffle trim.
Question from John:
Answer from Pegasus:Yes, there is a reflector inside of the trim that maximizes light output in the direction you are washing.
Question from Gary:
Answer from Pegasus:Gary, It will likely fit. However, we do not recommend mixing manufacturers for recessed trims/housings. First, it often voids the manufacturer warranty. Second, it can void the UL rating.
Question from Leslie Shapiro:
Answer from Pegasus:Leslie, Currently we only carry one 6in trim for flat ceilings: http://www.pegasuslighting.com/6inch-recessed-lighting-trim-lensless-shower-baffle.html
Question from Sarah:
Answer from Pegasus:Sarah - this is a good question. These are not Halo brand trims. We do not recommend mixing trims & housings made by different manufacturers. There are a few reasons for this. First, compatibility can be an issue. Second, the warranty for both the trim and housing are often voided. Third, the UL listing is often voided as well.
Question from John:
Answer from Pegasus:This trim is able to be used in a standard housing mounted on a sloped ceiling. Generally, we do not recommend using trims and housing from different manufacturers.
Question from Todd Meyer:
Answer from Pegasus:Absolutely. Recessed trims must be installed in a recessed housing. Thank you.
