Works great

Submitted by |

Easy to install. I actually put mine on the deck railing beside the flagpole where it gets full sun and pointed it up to the flag. It is not too bright but lights the flag nicely and for this retired Navy Veteran that is important to me.

Pros:
Easy to set up.

Cons:
none noted

Ask a Question

Question from BJ:

How close to the flag should the light be mounted to the pole to be effective?

Answer from Pegasus:

BJ, According to the manufacturer guidelines, there are a variety of locations you can choose but it ultimately depends on the effect you are trying to achieve. Here are a few common choices. 1. Mount at the base of the pole to cast the light up the pole itself while shadowing the flag. 2. Place it directly under the flag to fully illuminate the flag. 3. Place above the flag and direct down .

Question from Luis:

What is the size of the unit? Can it be installed to a flat surface like a wall?

Answer from Pegasus:

Luis, The diameter of the light at its widest is: 3.25 inches The length of the light at its longest is: 6.5 inches The clamp is designed to mount on a pole using adjustable radiator clamps. If you remove the part that goes around the pole, you could use the holes to mount it to a flat surface.

Question from Ray Pilar:

How wide of an angle of light does it provide? If mounted at about ten feet below the flag is there sufficient illumination to see a 5 x 3 flag? Flag night time display rules say in must be clearly visible in the dark. Thanks for your reply.

Answer from Pegasus:

At 10ft distance, this solar light provides approximately a 10ft diameter of illumination.
