Ask a Question

Question from John:

What company manufactures this? GE?

Answer from Pegasus:

House of Troy is the manufacturer.

Question from James:

How do you install this? What is required at the stem for mounting?

Answer from Pegasus:

James, This picture light has a bracket for attaching directly to the picture frame or to the wall. It includes the necessary mounting hardware.

Question from lcka52:

My wall has a clock plug, but the painting and frame are flat (flush) with the wall; therefore, I need to know... Does this fixture have or require a transformer? (It is imperative I know this because there is no room for a transformer.)

Answer from Pegasus:

No, it does not have or require a transformer.

Question from Mike:

What is the depth?

Answer from Pegasus:

The picture light extends 8in from the wall.

Question from Kyle Beasmore:

Would this be too hot for an oil painting?

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, I think that's a very valid concern. Incandescent bulbs give off a lot of heat. I would recommend an LED picture light instead.

Question from Richard Mael:

I'm considering this light to illuminate a ship model in an acrylic case ... the light will be 6"-8" above the case ... will it produce too much heat at this distance from the acrylic case (the acrylic is pretty sensitive to heat)? Also, not to display my ignorance...but does this light produce any UV?

Answer from Pegasus:

This picture light uses incandescent light bulbs. This type of light source does emit UV and it does emit a lot of heat - just like a standard light bulb you use in a table lamp, for example. If you are concerned about heat damage and UV damage, then you're best bet is an LED picture light. It will project very little heat and emit virtually no UV rays.
