Question from Brad:
Answer from Pegasus:Since it's UL listed for wet locations, that means that the downward part of the recessed light - ultimately the trim and the light bulb once fully installed - can be exposed to wet conditions, e.g. rain/snow. The actual housing should not be exposed to rain. The housing should be installed in a ceiling with only the opening exposed to the weather.
Question from Paul:
Answer from Pegasus:Paul, This housing is designed for use with incandescent/halogen light bulbs. LED light bulbs designed for use in recessed lights and LED retrofit trims should be fine, too.
Question from John:
Answer from Pegasus:Yes, this can be installed in suspended ceilings. It has a T-bar notch for easy installation.
Question from Patrick:
Answer from Pegasus:The NHIC-17QAT is designed for a PAR30 Lamp per the manufacturer.
Question from Jeff:
Answer from Pegasus:This item is the housing only. The trims are sold separately.
Question from Wendy Ross:
Answer from Pegasus:A new construction housing will work for a bathroom remodel as long as you have access to the ceiling joists for installation. A remodel housing is intended to be inserted into a small cutout hole in a finished ceiling surface.
