Ask a Question

Question from Brad:

Since this is UL listed for wet locations could this be used under an outside patio deck that would be exposed to rain?

Answer from Pegasus:

Since it's UL listed for wet locations, that means that the downward part of the recessed light - ultimately the trim and the light bulb once fully installed - can be exposed to wet conditions, e.g. rain/snow. The actual housing should not be exposed to rain. The housing should be installed in a ceiling with only the opening exposed to the weather.

Question from Paul:

Can it be used with LED lighting? And I have 2x8 floor joist so it should fit in there alright.

Answer from Pegasus:

Paul, This housing is designed for use with incandescent/halogen light bulbs. LED light bulbs designed for use in recessed lights and LED retrofit trims should be fine, too.

Question from John:

Can you use this on T-bars? Because I have tile ceiling and the floor joist is just too high off the tile ceiling and the recessed lighting just wont reach the tile ceiling.

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, this can be installed in suspended ceilings. It has a T-bar notch for easy installation.
