Question from G. HIRSCH:

DOWHAT TURNS UNIT ON AND OFF? BUILT IN TIMER OR LIGHT SENSOR

Answer from Pegasus:

No, it does not have a photocell/timer.

Question from John:

Several questions; 1.) Can I mount this transformer in my basement and run the wiring to my outdoor landscape lights? 2.) Will this transformer work with halogen bulb fixtures? 3.) Do you have the option to have the timer installed inside the transformer's metal case like some other transformer models from other companies (Ex: a grounded plug inside the metal case for a timer to be plugged in)? 4.) Do you have a picture of the inside of the transformer?

Answer from Pegasus:

John, 1. It's important to discuss your mounting location with a certified electrician who is knowledgeable of local electrical codes. He or she will help you comply with the NEC and local requirements. 2. Absolutely, it will power low voltage halogen lights. Just make sure they are 12V. 3. No, it does not have a timer option. 4. This is the only picture we have of the item.

Question from John:

Is there a timer that works with this transformer?

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, a wall timer may be used to control this transformer. Check out our selection here - http://www.pegasuslighting.com/light-switch-timers.html

Question from Whit:

Can this transformer support a low voltage cable lighting systems that use cables suspended between walls to support and power halogen low voltage light fixtures hanging from the cables?

Answer from Pegasus:

Whit, Since this transformer has a multi-tap, allowing it to compensate for voltage drop, I think it should work with a low voltage cable system.

Question from TIM:

Is this product designed to be placed indoors (a garage) to power landscape lighting? If not this product, do you have a product with 300-watt with multi tap that can be housed inside? Thanks

Answer from Pegasus:

Tim, Yes, this transformer can be used to power landscape lighting since you are placing it indoors.
