Description
Lutron Maestro dimmers are designer light controls with personalized programming options. Preset your desired dimming level, activate a delayed fade-to-off feature that gives you 10-60 seconds to leave the room, or simply adjust the lights manually using an easy-to-operate rocker switch. A soft glow LED feature will also enable you to find the dimmer in a dark room. This model controls line voltage (120 volts) lighting systems.

Question from Gary:

I have a typical situation where a large room has 2 switches to control the same group of incandescent lights (I need 1,000 watt). I want to make this a dimmer setup. So, do I use 2 of these switches for this application? Or, does this require 2 different switches. Also, are these good for incandescent? Will they work with anything else? Thanks

Answer from Pegasus:

Gary, check out the install instructions, specifically section 5b - http://site.pegasuslighting.com/pdfs/dimmers/Maestro-LineVoltInstall.pdf You'll want to use the Maestro companion dimmer for the second location - http://www.pegasuslighting.com/maestro-companion-dimmer.html These dimmers will work with line voltage incandescent/halogen lights.

Question from Ken Reeder:

Do you have a decor style dimmer that RECEIVES 12 volt (12 volt input) from a large magnetic transformer whose capacity is to be divided up to run dimmable led 9 watt lights (3 per dimmer) + 1 that has 6, 9 watt dimmable led's? I would prefer white. Having an on/off switch feature would be great but not necessary. I would order 4.

Answer from Pegasus:

No, we do not have a dimmer like the one you describe.

Question from Mike:

Can this be used for track lights which have an integral magnetic transformer or an electric transformer?

Answer from Pegasus:

Mike, No, I would not recommend this dimmer when connected to a low voltage lighting system. Instead, determine which type of transformer your system uses (electronic or magnetic) and use a dimmer specifically designed for that system. We offer dimmers designed for electronic low voltage systems: http://www.pegasuslighting.com/electronic-low-voltage-dimmers.html And also dimmers for magnetic low voltage systems: http://www.pegasuslighting.com/magnetic-low-voltage-dimmers.html
