Choosing Your LED Under Cabinet Lighting
You really cannot go wrong with any of our LED under cabinet lights, but it may be useful for you to compare all the various types of fixtures we offer. Our under counter LED lights can be organized both by fixture type and power source.
Choose between LED strip lights (like tape lights), puck lights, and LED light bars. Many of our under the cabinet LED lights are also linkable, which means you can connect several fixtures together and use a single power source to light them all. The best fixture for you depends on the kind of lighting effect you want. For a more functional, uniform light, linear LED undercabinet lighting works best and can offer the lowest profile. Because tape lights are so thin and flexible, they are great for lighting along the curves and angles of your kitchen cabinets. LED puck lights, on the other hand, create individual pools of light on your countertop. Some people prefer this effect, so it really depends on your individual needs.
3 Different Power Sources
- Installing hardwired under cabinet LED lighting is a convenient option, since you will have a dedicated light switch that makes turning the fixture on and off a breeze. You’ll also get a more finished look, since all of the electrical wiring is behind the wall.
- Plug-in light fixtures are helpful if hardwiring is not an option, and can make installation a much simpler process since no electricians are required.
- Battery-powered fixtures are even easier to install, since they are completely wireless. Your only real hassle with battery operated lights will be replacing batteries.
