Question from Michael Baron:

What is the difference between IC and nonIC when I am buying the housing. I am removing the Sheetrock of my ceiling and changing the position of my lights. Which housing should I purchase for the four inch led trim kit

Answer from Pegasus:

IC rated simply means the recessed housing is rated for contact with ceiling insulation. You should use IC housings if there will be insulation contacting the housing. If insulation will not be contacting the housing, then non-IC is suitable.

Question from Carol:

What LED wattage is this, or approximate incandescent equivalent? Are two better than just one over a five-foot shower where there is lighting elsewhere in the room?

Answer from Pegasus:

Carol, the wattage will depend on the required housing you select. These housings are actually where the light source is located. The trim is just decorative. I would just use a single light in a shower.

Question from Page:

Just want to confirm that I can use this above a shower/tub and that the LED bulb will last a long time without changing. Thanks!

Answer from Pegasus:

Page, As long as you are using one of the required housings listed in the Accessories, than yes this can be used above a shower and it will last a long time (50,000 hours is the rated life).

Question from James:

Will this shower trim attach to a Lithonia Lighting L3 new construction 4in can? There are not many shiny chrome Led trims available without the integrated housing. I'm trying to make something work as the cans are installed and the shower ceiling is tiled. Do you have any suggestions for a led light source in this configuration. Thanks!

Answer from Pegasus:

No, it can not attach to your can. This is a decorative trim (no light source) and is only compatible with the 4 recessed housings listed in the description. I would suggest an LED retrofit module suitable for wet locations. It can install in your existing can.
