Question from Marc H:

Since I have concrete ceilings in my condo, and need lighting in my bathroom, I'm thinking of making a soffit on either wall or a cross bean design. How big should I make the beam or soffit! 4x4? Trying not to make one too big and visually make room smaller. Thank you

Answer from Pegasus:

Marc, the only input I can provide is that from a lighting product perspective. You need to make sure the beam is large enough for the lights to be installed in it. The exact size needed will depend on the product you use. Note that this particular product uses a recessed housing. The soffit would need to meet the dimensions of the housing you use. There are two housing options - a remodel or new construction. My expectation is that you would need to use the remodel housing. Here's the dimensions of that item. Dimensions: 5-7/8in(H) x 3-5/8in(W) x 13.75in(L). Ceiling Cutout: only 3-7/8in http://www.pegasuslighting.com/2inch-led-recessed-lighting-housing-non-ic-remodel.html

Question from Lynda:

Is this fixture safe inside a shower?

Answer from Pegasus:

No but here are two similar products that are safe for use in a shower http://www.pegasuslighting.com/2inch-led-recessed-lighting-trim-shower-high-output-open-round-reflector.html http://www.pegasuslighting.com/4inch-led-recessed-lighting-trim-shower-square.html
