This hardwire box can be used with the Microfluorescent 3-wire grounded and the LED Line Voltage light fixtures so the fixtures can be controlled by the on-off rocker switch.
A flexible connector of the appropriate length must be used to connect the hardwire box and Microfluorescent Light Fixture.

So far so good.

I haven't had the electrical turn on for this box yet but I did wire it. Nothing too tricky. Be aware there is no room in the box for wires if you plan on using this within an electrical run. The line must end in the box. Also I bought the adjustable microfluorescent, this box is a slightly different color. More of an off-white.

Easy to wire. Knockouts in three locations.

Color does not match T5 microfluorescents.

Absolutely needed for our location

This was helpful to adjust the placement of the light; we wanted the switch out of sight and this was a great solution for us.

Ask a Question

Question from Scott:

I have 4 separate runs all on one wall switch and I know I need a box for each. Can I use this box, with the rocker switch so that I can turn off, say two sections (runs) if I don't want them all on when the switch is on?

Answer from Pegasus:

Scott, if you have the hardwire boxes connected to a wall switch, then yes, switching the hardwire box off while the wall switch is on will allow you to turn off separate runs.

Question from Daniele:

Can the direct connector be used to link hardwire to light? I don't want the length of the flexible cord connector.

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, a direct connector can link the light fixtures to the hardwire boxes.

Question from Jay:

Do you have a Y adapter for this box so it would provide power to two fixture runs?

Answer from Pegasus:

No, we do not have a Y adapter for these products.

Question from Tony:

Can this be used to plug into a wall outlet? Knowing I have to supply the connections.

Answer from Pegasus:

Tony, This item hardwires our microfluorescent or LED strip lights directly to power. To plug into a wall outlet you should simply use a power cord that attaches to the end of the fixtures. http://www.pegasuslighting.com/power-cord-6-foot-psgpc72w.html

Question from Mark:

What size are the knockouts?

Answer from Pegasus:

The knockouts are 13/16in in diameter.
