Great experience

Submitted by |

Needed a bulb for my daughter's engraved acrylic neon light. Ordered the blue 9in bulb. It was shorter than the one that came out of the fixture. I was going to send it back but after some investigation, realized that the fixture and old bulb were odd. So, I modified the fixture and used the bulb. Works perfectly! I now know that the bulbs they sell are standard size. Thanks for a good product at a good price. Quick shipping too!

6 Watt T4 bulbs

Submitted by |

I do not like the fact the box they come in is the same size as 8 watt T4's box. When I store the bulbs it is difficult to keep them separated. Before the 6 watt T4's were in a shorter box! I understand the economics of using the same box, so I just have an employee bundle the bulbs as they come in.

Pros:
Great bulbs

Cons:
Box they come in is too large

Question from Chrissy:

I have the same question that Rick had, however, wanted to know if you sell the bulbs that are 9.75 inches (including the prongs)? I included Rick's previous Q & A below: Rick from Plymouth, MA asked: You list the length as 9 inches. Is this the length of the bulb itself not including the prongs, or the entire length including the prongs? The bulb I'm trying to replace is 9 inches for the bulb itself, and 9.75 inches including the prongs. A. Jacob from Pegasus Lighting: Rick, The nominal length is 9in. That means the lamp, including the proper allowance for sockets, measures 9in. The maximum overall length is 8-13/16in. Therefore, This lamp is shorter than the one you are trying to replace.

Answer from Pegasus:

Chrissy, There is a lot of confusion about T4 diameter fluorescent light bulbs. Unlike T5 and T8 fluorescent light bulbs, T4 light bulbs do not have a standard length associated with wattage. This makes it difficult to find replacements. For this lamp, the nominal length is 9in. It is not 9.75in. It will not work for your application. Unfortunately no, we do not have 9.75in T4 light bulbs. Our T4 lamps are for replacement of fixtures we carry that require this length of 9in. Thanks and I hope this clears it up.
