I am inquiring to see if this product meets/exceeds the requirements for compliance with the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code [N.J.A.C. 5:70-4.11(k)3.I.] requiring a minimum luminance of 0.06 foot lamberts for self-luminous signs.

Yes, in order for the FreeLite to be in compliance the sign requires a minimum of 5 Fc of light while the building is occupied. Also, it meets the code required 90 minutes of illumination after power loss.
