Question from Randy:

is this a replacement for WAC Lighting EN-1275-R-AR Electronic Transformer, 120V - 12V 75W Max? Thanks. Randy

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, it will replace the transformer and provide power to the lights. There is one caveat. The big difference is that the WAC product is an enclosed transformer, meaning that the electrical splices can be safely stored inside the enclosure. We do have the WAC part available - http://www.pegasuslighting.com/electronic-low-voltage-transformer-75w-12v-enclosed-pen1275rbar.html

Question from Bruce Arndt:

I am looking for a transformer to power 50W 12V landscape lighting. Are there any suitable for wet locations?

Answer from Pegasus:

Bruce, This electronic transformer is not suitable for wet locations. However, we do carry outdoor transformers. Please see our full line here - http://www.pegasuslighting.com/outdoor-transformers.html Thanks

Question from Bob:

I need to replace a sat 70 transformer for my range hood lights. Will this unit work for me?

Answer from Pegasus:

Bob, there are a few things to consider here.1. I'm assuming you mean it's a 70W transformer. If so, then yes, this transformer can handle your existing load.2. This transformer should be protected from heat/steam. It's not designed for exposure to extreme heat or moisture.

Question from viriato oliveira:

item BSET-75, order 233848 electronic transformer -says for halogen lights only - can it be used for regular 7 watt bulbs?

Answer from Pegasus:

If your 7-watt bulbs are 12-volt then yes the transformer can be used.

Question from Bruce:

I am looking for a transformer for my landscape lighting. The transformer will be placed in my basement in a dry location. I am powering 6 - 7 watt lightbulbs in my driveway. I am replacing a “Toro Power Pack” which has an output of 72W, 12 VAC lamp load (S/N 49012630, Model 52938) I don’t need any type of automation for photosensitive switches or timers. I turn these lights on and off with a regular light switch. Will this transformer work? If not, can you recommend an alternative? Thanks.

Answer from Pegasus:

These smaller transformer will power a distance of 6ft. To avoid voltage drop longer runs will require a higher wattage power supply.

Question from Phil:

This transformer is marked for halogen lighting only.. Can it be used to power 12v LEDs? (With the proper rectifier, of course)

Answer from Pegasus:

Please check the specifications of your LED fixture. Most LED fixtures require a driver and not a transformer.
