Ask a Question

Question from John:

Do these work in cold weather?

Answer from Pegasus:

Like all fluorescent light bulbs they will struggle in the exceptionally cold environments. However, cold temperature ballasts can aid with starting the bulbs in low temperatures.

Question from Dennis:

Is there a dimmer switch that will work with these bulbs? I have 5 lights in my kitchen controlled by one toggle switch, which I would like to replace with a dimmer switch, is this possible?

Answer from Pegasus:

Dennis, These lamps may be dimmed BUT you must use a dimming ballast. A ballast is a component that is generally inside of the light fixture that uses the CFLs. The exact type of dimmer you will need will depend on the dimming ballast. Generally they use 3-wire fluorescent dimmers. At this time, we do not carry dimming ballasts or 3-wire dimmers.
