I bought this light for a small closet that wasn't wired for a light fixture. It gives out a lot of light. I am very happy . I don't know how long the batteries will last. But so far it's worth it

Pros:
Good light

What a find

Submitted by | Tallahassee |

I moved from a house with a well lighted kitchen to an apartment that had no lights over the sink, which made dish washing or rinsing impossible. I had searched all over for lights and then happened upon this site. These lights are fantastic. I just place the remote on the shelf above the lights and tap it and voila I have lights. I can now see to wash vegetables, dishes, or whatever I am doing at the sink. Needless to say I plan to buy more. All of them worked as soon as I put in the batteries. I love these lights. Okay, I never thought I'd write that sentence. LOL

Pros:
Great value, easy to set up, good lighting, remote is a bonus

Cons:
None so far

Love This!!!

Submitted by | Hummelstown |

I have an apartment and there is no light over the kitchen sink, and the main light is behind me putting my sink in shadow. I attached this light to a shelf over my sink. At first I used the hook and loop attachments, but it didn't hold because of the wood. I took the shelf down and screwed it on and now it is lovely and bright. I would like to order more of these, but I may have to relocate shortly, but I know where to go when I do!! Thank you Pegasus!

Cons:
Haven't found any

Great Lil' Light

Submitted by |

I really like this particular track light--primarily because it is battery-operated and allows for placement anywhere. But I also really like it because it allows for directing the light beams to a variety of places, spots or locations via the swivel and pivot capabilities of each individual light on the track. I really like that four separate track-light sets can be controlled with one remote--that makes it really easy to operate all available lights with one push of a button! If this product could be improved, I would like to see a fourth LED added to each light and perhaps give each light ever that much more pivoting ability to really reach 'around a tighter corner'. This really is a great product though and is affordable and easy to install and even easier to use!

Great Product

This light is perfect for my closet. I needed some extra light. Just make sure to use good batteries. I put some inexpensive ones in and the light was very dim. Other than that it is a great product.

Great battery operated track light!

Submitted by |

The light is very much up to expectations. The four bulb circles can be turned wherever you need light. The remote works great. The sticky velcro doesn't stick to the ceiling very well. I had to staple it. The other one screwed in and worked fine.

Pros:
good directional light good handy remote

Cons:
Velcro didn't stick to the ceiling well. Had to staple the velcro. But now that I did that, it is staying just fine.

Ask a Question

Question from Lynn Leduc:

Will a single remote operate 5 tracks if they are all within the 15 feet?

Answer from Pegasus:

No - the limit is 4 fixtures per remote.

Question from Dennis Jones:

Will this light work well for illuminating a painting? I plan to locate the fixture on the ceiling, approximately 16in in front of the painting and 14in above it. Thanks, DMJ

Answer from Pegasus:

Dennis, I wouldn't recommend it for that application. The product is best used as a task/accent light under or inside cabinets or in closets/niche spaces.

Question from Fred:

Do you think this light would be OK mounted approximately 4 ft. above kitchen sink?

Answer from Pegasus:

Fred, since it's so close to the kitchen sink, I would consider that a damp location and this product is not designed for that.

Question from Pam:

Will this fixture hold up in a bathroom? How does it do in moisture?

Answer from Pegasus:

Pam, I would not recommend it for wet or damp locations.

Question from Cid:

Would you recommend using this product around a vanity mirror in my room for good lighting to do my makeup?

Answer from Pegasus:

That is an interesting application idea for this product. I do think you could use this item for wireless task lighting around a vanity mirror.

Question from Andre:

Is there are an on/off switch on the unit in the case the remote is lost.

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, there is an on/off switch to control this fixture, as well as the remote control.

Question from Jonathan Weber:

I want to install these under metal kitchen cabinets. I assume I will need either a magnet or two faced tape to install under the cabinet. As these are plastic, the magnet may not work. Once installed how to access the batteries for replacement

Answer from Pegasus:

After installation, the batteries are replaced by removing the track fixture from the mounting bracket. You can then access the battery compartment.

Question from Robin Lennon:

Is the only way to mount this fixture by the tape or can it be screwed onto the mounting surface?

Answer from Pegasus:

This light does include mounting hardware.

Question from Daniel:

I lost my directions on how to change the batteries. Just wondering how I open it up to change the battery.

Answer from Pegasus:

Hi Daniel, To change the batteries in the LPL704 you will need to remove it from the mounting bracket. You can do this by sliding the unit either left or right depending on how it is mounted. Once you remove it from the bracket, you will be able to access the battery compartment.

Question from Denise:

The review on 7/26/16 by H. Blouch said they installed it above a sink but your reply to one of the questions said you don't recommend putting it above a sink, wny not?

Answer from Pegasus:

This fixture is not rated for a damp location such as over a sink or in a bathroom.

Question from David:

will 1 remote work 2 seperate units placed in a line

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, 1 remote can be used for multiple units.

Question from Greg smith:

Is it dimmable

Answer from Pegasus:

No, this fixture is not dimmable.

Question from Rhonda:

I need lighting over a kitchen island. Would you recommend this product?

Answer from Pegasus:

If there is no option for electrical power than the battery operated light would be a good solution.

Question from Bubba:

How do they mount on the ceiling ?

Answer from Pegasus:

They come with mounting hardware that you would use to attach to the ceiling.

Question from Christine Fairbanks:

item LPL704 with 75 lumens. What would be the equivalent in wattage. I come from the era of Xwatts incandescant is what I need in a closet. So, how would this light compare to a 100W bulb, or at 150W bulb, or 75, or so on?

Answer from Pegasus:

A 75 lumens output LED would be roughly equivalent to a 10W incandescent. We have an article in our learn section explaining lumens. https://www.pegasuslighting.com/lc-lighting-info/what-are-lumens.html

Question from Bill Kurth:

what size batteries???

Answer from Pegasus:

This item# LPL704 requires (6) AAA Batteries.

Question from Kathy:

this track lite. What is the problem when new batteries are installed and the LED lites when turned on, just lite for a split second and that is it. It worked for 5 min the day before and now nothing and two sets of new batteries were tried?.

Answer from Pegasus:

Kathy, If you have replaced the battery with new batteries and it is still not functioning properly, your unit is probably defective. You will need to contact the company you purchased through to find out any warranty information.

Question from Peter:

Will this item be adequate attached to a ceiling over a desk as task lights?

Answer from Pegasus:

Peter, I wouldn't recommend it for that application. The product is best used as a task/accent light under or inside cabinets or in closets/niche spaces.

Question from Christine Fairbanks:

What is the wattage equivalent of this 4-LED fixture? I need at least 60 as it is going in a dark closet with the nearest light behind me throwing a shadow into the closet

Answer from Pegasus:

This light fixture has a total of approximately 75 lumens which would equal approximately 15W incandescent light bulb.

Question from MB:

Specifications say 75 lumens-- is that the total for the fixture or is it 75 lumens per light?

Answer from Pegasus:

It is 75 lumens total

Question from Ian Cohen:

Do the lights dim?

Answer from Pegasus:

These lights are not dimmable.

Question from Laurette Francoeur:

What type of batteries is needed?

Answer from Pegasus:

This light fixtures uses AAA batteries.

Question from Jim Westaway:

Can the bulbs be changed so that they give only a small amount of light for in cabinet lighting?

Answer from Pegasus:

The LED's in this fixture can not be replaced or changed.

Question from Patti Gregerson:

Would you consider this product for a craft show booth to add a bit of accent light onto some pottery on display? The light would be mounted about 5' to 6' above the pieces just about 1' to 2' out from them? Or do you think the $48 similar light would work?

Answer from Pegasus:

The LED battery operated ultra bright track light with remote control ($48.83) emits 200 lumens of light vs 75 lumens for this track light. Depending on how long the lights will be turned on, you may need replacement batteries as well.

Question from Janna:

Would these lights work in a small outdoor building used as a reading nook?

Answer from Pegasus:

Janna, This light would probably work for your application. We do have a nice customer photo in our Q&A section that shows the light output for this fixture. https://www.pegasuslighting.com/battery-operated-under-cabinet-lighting/led-battery-operated-track-light-with-remote-control.html

Question from Jim:

Can I turn on the lights if I lose the remote control? Can I turn these lights on manually? I want to use them for reading lights behind my 2 girls in their bunk beds in their bedroom. Must have manual on/off so 2 lights can be controlled separately.

Answer from Pegasus:

This light does not have an on/off switch.
