    Great product.
Love it! Easy install and works great!
    Pros:Easy install.

Really not that useful even for very small art.
I guess you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this light.

    Just what I needed
This was easy to install and I love the dimmer!

    Good looking product
Easy to install, looks good and works well. Without a remote control you will need to install this in locations where you have easy access. The built in level is helpful but take care as it moves slowly. This product is perfect for modestly sized pictures. It could be brighter but for the money you pay this product is great value.
Pros:Good looking and easy to install
    Cons:Could be brighter

Cheaply built with cheap plastic and cheap looking brass finish.
If you are looking for a quality light fixture this is not it. Looks cheap in person and made completely of plastic. The “Brass” finish is cheap paint and does not look good in person.

Not what it appears to look like from Internet picture
This looks so good online and in person it is all spotty and multicolored. Very cheap looking. Had they had it all one color it would have been fine. Light shines well but we just could not get over how it looked. Not at all what we expected.

    Eh… pretty cheesy actually
The lamp is plastic and very much looks so, just as previous reviews indicated. The finish is dark gold and splattered with a different color. It does not look aged. It looks spattered.
Also, the bulbs really are too bright and harsh. It gives off a glare which adds to the ‘cheesiness.’ If I adjust the bulbs so the glare isn’t blinding, the light aims only at the top of the art. If I angle the bulbs more toward the center of the art, the bulbs are visible and are really quite hideous. If you are considering a light for your framed work, I HIGHLY recommend one that is DIMMABLE with a remote!!! It may cost a little more but sooo worth it.

Product is great comparing with the price.
Nice looking product, very good design. Easy installation. The only problem is the brightness on the maximum light which is not enough. It is giving the light closer area of the picture, it is not reaching all away down of the 14″ picture.

    Good Light. Good Price
I liked these. For the price, they do the trick. They ARE plastic! But once you get them hung (a relatively easy process) you can’t tell that they aren’t actually brass or bronze. They dim, which is great. NOTE: the instructions Do NOT tell you that the screws are hiding inside the backs, where the batteries are inserted. I bought 3 and will buy more if I need them.

  • Questions & Answers

    Question from Dave Hilbert:

Will one remote turn on 15-20 lights ? Does your light with remote come in silver as well as browse and black ? Is there any discount for a purchase of 20-30 ? Thanks

    Answer from Pegasus:

Multiple lights can be controlled by a single remote as long as they are in range. The light is available in Black and Bronze. We offer a 5% discount when purchasing 6 or more.

    Question from Beth:

Where do you install the batteries?

    Answer from Pegasus:

    On the fixture head.

    Question from Lila:

What is the extension from battery box to the light? I want to illuminate a sculpture mounted to a 1in thick board.

    Answer from Pegasus:

The extension is 3in from the light to the battery compartment.

    Question from Diana Weir:

My Picture is 33in long by 13in - I don't see measurements - There appears to be the same light at 27.00 - Difference ???? Suggestions as to battery virus electrical - Thanks - Diana

    Answer from Pegasus:

Diana, if you mean it's 33in wide then I would not use this battery operated light. It's not bright enough for a picture that large. The other battery operated light that is $27.50 has a remote control and this one does not. For a picture as large as that I would recommend this product, which is our most popular picture light - http://www.pegasuslighting.com/picture-light-slimline-incandescent-14in-30w.html Thanks!

    Question from Daniel J. O'Leary:

Is there a way to install this without screwing into the wall? Could I use some strong sticky material and stick on wall?

    Answer from Pegasus:

You can attach it to the frame instead. Sticky tape may not be strong enough to support the light.

    Question from Shreesh:

Is the housing made of metal or plastic?

    Answer from Pegasus:

    It's made of plastic.

    Question from Patrick Jackson:

I like this offering. Can you tell me how long this light will run on the high setting? Any way to turn one of the lights off?

    Answer from Pegasus:

Patrick, The duration of the batteries depends on the quality of batteries you use. The light turns off using the dimmer switch on the side of the head. Press switch once for full brightness. Press and hold for desired brightness. Press a third time to turn the light off.

    Question from Bonnie White:

How would I attach this to metal art grids? Is that possible?

    Answer from Pegasus:

The mounting bracket is intended to be attached to a flat surface.

    Question from Neena:

How wide is this light? My frame is 14in but I need to just illuminate a daguerreotype of 3.5in.

    Answer from Pegasus:

    It's 9in wide.

    Question from Judy Ghoneim:

Does this battery picture light with dimmer have a remote control?

    Answer from Pegasus:

No, this model does not have a remote.
