Description
This 35-watt halogen MR16 barbecue light has a flexible arm that allows you to direct the bullet-shaped head where light is needed. Simply hardwire to power, mount it to your grill, and you are ready to cook.
  • The neck is intended to be installed in a question mark shape, allowing you to direct the light where it's needed.
  • For optimal performance and balance, do not flex the arm horizontally at a 90 degree angle from the base.

Mine must have been defective

Submitted by |

I received this and it looked absolutely perfect. Very heavy duty and well built. However, when I attached it to the counter the flexible neck would NOT hold the weight of the light up. Any direction I adjusted it would NOT hold. The head of the lamp would just lean over towards the counter top. The product is NOT usable. Unfortunately I have to return it.

MR16 - 35 Watt Flexible Grill Light

Submitted by |

Decided to pay a bit more then a 'base' model after reading reviews on how those failed in a year. The MR16-35 Watt unit is very good quality and I'm happy to have upgraded to it. Quality Stainless Steel construction which matches the grill.

All indications positive

Delivered units in timely manner and upon inspection appear to be solidly made. Time will tell as units are to be installed in a barbeque area on a coastal home. So not sure about 5 stars until have time to test, so gave 4 stars.

Ask a Question

Question from Robert Lozano:

Is there an LED light bulb that will work with this grill light instead of the included 35W halogen?

Answer from Pegasus:

No, we do not have an LED bulb that would work with this light.

Question from Chris:

How long is the threaded 1/2in nipple mentioned in the Q&A section? Can this light be installed through a 4in concrete top?

Answer from Pegasus:

It's 6in long. Yes, it can be installed through a 4in thick concrete surface. Note from the install instructions that 4in is the MAX thickness it can be installed.

Question from Stephen:

I have purchased 2 of these. Both stainless steel. I live in AZ. Even though I keep it covered most of the time, both failed within two years due to the polyfin wrap cracking and peeling. Water then gets in and it rusts, even though it is stainless steel. Any ideas? This seems to be my only choice for a drill through top mounted light. Both worked great except for the polyfin failure (undoubtedly due to sun0.

Answer from Pegasus:

Stephen, they may be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Please give us a call and we'd be happy to assist you.

Question from Jeff:

Where can I get installation instructions for mounting and wiring using the electrical transformer?

Answer from Pegasus:

Here's a link to the install instructions - http://site.pegasuslighting.com/pdfs/barbecue-light-fixed-mount-install-instructions.pdf This is a line voltage fixture. There is no transformer.

Question from Carol MacFarlane:

How do you replace the light bulb?

Answer from Pegasus:

Carol, These use a medium screw MR16, so you simply unscrew the bulb.

Question from Robert Hughes:

I have lots of access to 12VDC and none of 120VAC by BBQ. Will 12V MR16 bulbs fit and work. Can't think why not, but better ask.

Answer from Pegasus:

No, 12V MR16 light bulbs will not fit. They have a different base than 120V MR16 light bulbs, so they won't even fit in the socket.

Question from Brian:

Do you carry the replacement cover bags for this light? Focus Part Number FA-BQCOVER

Answer from Pegasus:

Brian, No, we do not carry a replacement cover. If you give our customer service a call, we might be able to order it. 800-392-4818
