This 20-watt halogen barbecue light, which can also be used as a workbench utility light, has a wide, 2-inch clamp allowing you to place the fixture wherever it is needed. Simply plug it in with the included 3-wire cord with grounded plug, attach it to your grill, and you are ready to cook.
Since the included 6-foot cord is coiled it can vary in length from 4 to 8 feet.

Heavy duty, good solid lamp but not bright enough for the job, which is surprising to voltage and corresponding watts. Also, the MR16 bulb bi-pin base is wider than the standard off the shelf replacement bulb base. I have no idea where to obtain a bulb replacement? I would think a LED would be brighter and a better alternative to the halogen provided, without the heat output. Also the bulb rattles in the light housing/cowling...afraid it will damage the bulb moving from location to location. Just got it but not happy, will be asking for a replacement or refund very soon.
Pros: Heavy duty clamp, goose neck, good insulation on the flexible goose neck, solid external light cowling, good switch
Cons: bulb not bright, flood light replacement non-standard, bulb rattles loosely in the metal cowling
This light is sturdy and easy to clamp in place. We have been through a couple of battery operated lights and they were always dead when needed. (Who remembers to turn the light off every time?) We are fortunate to have a plug near our outdoor grill and this light is great for our application. It could be a little brighter, but when placed right over the grill it does the trick!
I was looking for a light to clamp onto my chainsaw sharpener for better lighting. This light has a long flexible neck with a good light so you can adjust it to exactly where you need it to shine. Also most other lights have clamp on attachments which will not hold where you place them but this light has a clamp that you can tighten where it will stay put. This product is just what the doctor ordered.
Pros: Long flexible neck and great clamp attachment that stays in place.
This is called a grill light. It does not light up the grill enough at all. I liked the construction and look of it but what good is it as a light for the grill when you can't see the food you are grilling sufficiently to be considered an effective light source? It would be a great product if it did what it claims, be a grill light!
Pros: Construction, able to be installed easy
Cons: Does NOT light up the grill. I resent the fact that you sell it as if the customer expects it to light up the grill sufficiently and then I had to pay $15 to return it. What a ripoff! I will not do business with Pegasus.
We are sorry that you did not think this light lit up your grill effectively. Our product description describes the product in a factual manner and we do not make any subjective comments about the brightness of the light itself. The fixture comes with a 20-watt MR16 halogen light bulb.
The lamp is great in several respects. The overall appearance is good and the fixture is sturdy. The clamp is well suited for bench mounting - it's not overloaded by the weight of the lamp. The electrical switch and cord are also heavy duty and good for a workshop environment. The problem with this lamp is simple - it's not bright enough. The reason you need a bench light is to throw a bright light on a small area to focus on a project. This lamp as it is delivered does not do that. I am planning on changing out the halogen bulb to up the brightness. We'll see whether that does the trick.
