MR16 Halogen Flexible Wall Lights - I LOVE!

Submitted by |

I had such a dark kitchen with a vaulted ceiling. It was so difficult to install good lights, and I didn't really want to put large fluorescents up there. Finally I took a chance on these. Just ordered the transformers that are offered with it, and the shades. I installed through the top of the cabinet, over the stove, plugged into a power strip and it adds so much light, plus it looks cool. The electrician installed with a rheostat so you can have the glamour of dimming, not that I ever use that! I got 3 lights and 3 transformers, and I think it included the flood light bulbs. I will try to add a night time picture, but you really can believe me, these lights make a huge difference. Something makes the (clear) shades glow with a pink/orange tint. It makes them look cool.

Pros:
It is BRIGHT! I can now see the color of the food I am cooking! Yay!

Cons:
Nothing

Ask a Question

Question from Barry:

Can I daisy chain multiple fixtures from a single transformer?

Answer from Pegasus:

Barry, Multiple fixtures can be wired to a single transformer. Just be sure the wattage of the light fixtures does not exceed the rated wattage of the transformer.

Question from Charles:

What other type of transformer can I use?

Answer from Pegasus:

Charles, any 12V electronic transformer should work. Just be sure that it is rated for 50 watts or greater.

Question from Samantha Lim:

How many lights are included? Is it just the one?

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, the light fixtures are sold individually

Question from Mark:

Is there a secret to mounting the fixtures in a wall as shown in the photo?

Answer from Pegasus:

Mark, you need to have access to behind the wall. Basically the fixture attaches to the wall with a threaded tube that is secured on the other side of the wall by a lock nut.
