Question from Mike Jenkins-Brown:

Can this hardwire box and 2 line voltage puck lights be on the same circuit or line as my halogen light? All controlled by the same dimmer switch?

Answer from Pegasus:

If your halogen light is LINE voltage and your dimmer is line voltage then yes.

Question from Mike:

Why is this box necessary? Can't the puck light wire be directly connected to the hard wire that runs from the switch?

Answer from Pegasus:

The puck lights cannot be hardwired directly to power. They connect to the hardwire box with a flexible connector. The hardwire splices must be made in the hardwire box.

Question from Mark:

Can the hardwire box be controlled by a wall switch?...by a dimmer?

Answer from Pegasus:

It can be controlled with a wall switch and can also be dimmed. Recommended dimmer type CFL-LED

Question from Yolanda:

I need to (2) 4 puck hardwire kit. How many pucks can be connected to the hardwire box?

Answer from Pegasus:

8 or more puck lights can be connected to the Hardwire Box.

Question from rick:

How can I dim these. Can I do it without the box.

Answer from Pegasus:

The LED MVP Puck Light Kits come with a plug in power cord. These are dimmable using a Lutron Credenza C-L Tabletop Lamp Dimmer. https://www.pegasuslighting.com/led-and-cfl-dimmers/lutron-credenza-c-l-tabletop-lamp-dimmer.html

Question from chris albus:

I have several questions about the hardware box. 1) Is this box nothing more than just a junction box with a switch? 2) I assume from the picture that the hard wired connection is in the back of the box? 3) Can this box be mounted in by attic?

Answer from Pegasus:

This hardwire box should be used if hardwiring the MVP puck lights, instead of plug-in. The hardwire connections for incoming 120V are on the back. If placed in an attic, the longest flexible connector we offer is 24". A flexible connector must be used from the hardwire box to the puck light.

Question from David:

Where would the Slimline Hardwire Box (item ALSLBOX) be installed/positioned in the hardwiring of under-cabinet recessed MVP puck lights? Thanks.

Answer from Pegasus:

The hardwire box is placed between the 120V input wire and the puck lights. A flexible connector would be used from the hardwire box to the first puck light.
