Power cord somewhat heavy

Power cord too heavy and stiff for such a low power fixture. Otherwise works fine.

Question from jjjinva:

Can I use this cord to connect two lights together? I have to connect lights on either side of a stove so I will be drilling the cabinets and running the wire up, across and then back down on the inside of the cabinets. I thought it might have looked a little cleaner with this wire. Can I just clip off the connectors, strip the wires and use wire nuts to connect the fixtures? Also I read some of the reviews and someone mentioned the wire being real stiff so I am concerned that bending the wire 90 deg in the cabs might not be possible.

Answer from Pegasus:

No, this power cord is designed to connect a light fixture to a power receptacle. You should use the linking cables to make jumps like the one you describe: http://www.pegasuslighting.com/linking-cable-p043aex.html

Question from Dan:

What wire gauge is the cord (or amp/wattage rating)? Thanks

Answer from Pegasus:

The cord is 18 AWG
