150 Watt 12v DC Hardwire Dimmable Electronic Voltage LED Driver

Submitted by |

I recently re-wired an old motorcycle to use as a streetlight. (!) Pegasus Tech support told me to add up the wattage of all the bulbs and go a bit over for the proper wattage. Headlight, directional, tail and instrument lights totaled about 110 watts.

Pros:
Works like a charm and reasonably priced.

Cons:
A fact sheet would have been nice.

Question from James Misiorowski:

This driver can be used to dim strip LED's, and how much over the rated wattage of the strip should the transformer be sized at? Will the lights flicker?

Answer from Pegasus:

Yes, this driver can dim LED tape/strip lights. This driver can be fully loaded and has no minimum load. Simply total the wattage of your LED tape light and pick the driver that is equal to or slightly greater wattage rating. For example, if you have 140 watts of LED tape light, then use this 150-watt driver. If you have 20 watts of tape light, use the 25-watt driver. For proper dimming, use the compatible Pulse Width Modulation dimmer, available in the Accessories.
