About our Xenon Line Voltage Puck Lights

These xenon puck lights can be used to expand your kit or create a complete custom kit. They emit crisp, warm white light that is ideal for task lighting.

  • 2 Finishes:
    White (PLVPX-20-WH-B)
    Black (PLVPX-20-BK-B)
  • Custom Kits: a custom kit can be built using these individual puck lights and the components sold as accessories. You can also expand a complete kit with these individual puck lights.
  • Versatile Mounting: this puck light may be either surface mounted or recessed mounted
  • Housing Dimensions: when surface mounted its dimensions are 2-5/8in diameter x 1-3/8in thick; when recessed mounted its dimensions are 2-5/8in diameter x 1/2in thick.
  • Construction: heavy-duty, hard durable plastic
  • Even Light Distribution: frosted glass diffuser for even light distribution

  • Xenon Lamp Included: xenon bipin lamp with a G8 base
  • Wattage of Light Source: 20 watts
  • Maximum Overall Length: 1-7/16in MOL [Caution: This line voltage puck light will not accept a 120-volt xenon bipin lamp that is longer than this.]
  • Excellent Color Rendering: CRI is 100 for all xenon light bulbs (100 is considered to be the best)
  • Warm White Light: color temperature of 3100K (warm white)
  • Good Lamp Life: rated life is 8,000 hours on average (In contrast, a 20-watt bipin halogen lamp is generally rated at about 2,500 hours.)
  • Easy Lamp Handling: unlike a halogen light bulb the glass envelope of a xenon light bulb may be touched with bare hands (while the lamp is cool) without causing the lamp to fail prematurely
  • Easy Lamp Replacement: twist on/off frosted glass diffuser allows for easy relamping
  • Cooler than Halogen: gives off less heat than a comparable halogen light bulb

  • Electrical Leads: each has a 3-inch lead and a 3-inch tail wire with Molex connector for linking pucks.
  • No Transformer Needed: since this is a line voltage fixture no transformer is needed
  • Linkable: A maximum of 10 can be linked together in a single run.
  • Switching: for plug-in installations control using power cordís rocker switch. For hardwire installations control using hardwire boxís rocker switch.
  • Dimmable: plug-in applications are dimmable with touch pad dimmer. Hardwire applications are dimmable with standard incandescent dimmers.

  • Flexible Connectors: available in black or white and in 2 different lengths. Links puck lights together across short distances or around corners
  • Hardwire Box: required for hardwire installations. A maximum of two runs can connect to each hardwire box.
  • 6-Foot Power Cord: required for plug-in installations
  • Replacement Xenon Lamps
  • Dimmers: plug-in installations are dimmable with touch pad dimmer. Hardwire installations are dimmable with standard incandescent dimmers.

Questions & Answers
By Matt from Connecticut on November 3, 2014
Can this light be hard wired?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on November 3, 2014

Absolutely! You will need to use the slimline hardwire box accessory to hardwire. You may need a flexible connector as well to extend the distance between the pucks and the hardwire box since the pucks' leads are only 3in.
