About our 10 Watt - 12 Volt - Xenon Light Bulb - Festoon Base

These 10-watt, 12-volt xenon low voltage festoon light bulbs have a perfect color rendering index and a rated life of 5,000 hours.

  • 2 Models:
    PNDSL-10X-C: 10 watts, 12 volts, clear
    PNDSL-10X-F: 10 watts, 12 volts, frosted
  • Diameter: the xenon festoon light bulbs have a T3-1/4 bulb with a diameter of 13/32in
  • Length: the maximum overall length (MOL) is 1-22/32in
  • Color Rendering Index: CRI is 100 for all xenon light bulbs (100 is considered to be the best)
  • Good Lamp Life: rated life is 10,000 hours on average
  • Easy Lamp Handling: unlike a halogen light bulb the glass envelope of a xenon light bulb may be touched with bare hands (while the lamp is cool) without causing the lamp to fail prematurely
  • Lamp Choice: if the xenon festoon light bulbs are being used for Task Lighting or indirect lighting (under cabinets, under shelves, over cabinets, or inside cabinets), we recommend that you use frosted light bulbs. If, however, the xenon festoon light bulbs are being used for Accent Lighting to illuminate items that should “sparkle” (jewelry, china, crystal), then we recommend that you use clear light bulbs.
  • Large Quantity Discount: If you would like us to quote on a large quantity of 10-Watt 12-Volt Xenon Low Voltage Festoon Light Bulbs, please call us at our toll-free number or use the online Quotation Request for Large Quantities form.  We are always happy to provide you with our best large quantity pricing.

Quick and easy
January 3, 2015
When I had my undercabinet lighting installed I was assured that the replacement bulbs would not be hard to find. Well, they may not be at my local hardware store or Lowe's or Home Depot, but these were easy to find online and were delivered quickly.

Bright and warm color

Much brighter than I thought they would be for 10W. The color temperature is nice and warm. Appear durable.

10W 12V Festoon lamp
February 19, 2013
What can I say? It works like it should. I got the frosted version for under-cabinet use, as recommended. I'll be interested to see how long they last. The lamp does get very hot so kids should be warned/watched if the lamps are within reach - under a kitchen cabinet, say.
Easy install, easy to like. Nice even light
A bit pricy. Lifetime in actual service not known yet - see how it goes.

Tough Removal
February 3, 2013
This light strip is terrific, bright and well hidden. However, unless the installer shows you how to remove and replace the little bullet-shaped bulbs, you could become pretty frustrated. Essentially, it's a matter of spreading the small, tight clips that hold the bulb in place (either end of the bulb) apart far enough to pick the bulb out of the strip. It's probably easier with two people (no kidding). Have someone use their 2 thumbnails to open the clips (they won't open very far), and you use an index finger to pull down on the pointy metal end of the bulb. You don't want to remove the housing from the strip. Those little clips are just super tight. But that's not very transparent on first look. Good Luck!
Bright, long-lasting bulb.
Difficult to remove.

Prompt and Accurate
December 1, 2011
Great little lights. They arrived promptly.
You can place them anywhere on the electric strip, as many as you want.
Maybe some kinks in the design to be ironed out. I didn't realize it's best to leave the light device in place and pop out the old bulb, pop in the new bulb. The pins that make contact with the electric line embedded in the strip -- I made new holes, taking out the bulb-holders and reinserting them, don't know if that's a good idea. It's a bit difficult to pop the lights out and in, while the "holder" remains in position.

Questions & Answers

The bulb item # PNDSL-10X. Wondering if this model is for license plate lighting. I had one of my bulbs burn out in my car and it appears to be the same type of bulb. I noticed that people use it for cabinets.

If it's a 12V festoon base light bulb with the same maximum overall length than yes it should work.

Your picture does not look to me like a festoon base but instead a rigid cap base. My suggestion is to check with the car manufacturer for the light bulb type to use.
By Chris from Phila on November 10, 2014

I use it for under cabinet lighting.
By Paul from Hoover, AL on November 11, 2014

No. These are 12V AC not DC.

What is the color temperature of this light?

I currently have xenon bulbs for under cabinet lighting and don't like them because they are too warm/yellow.
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on March 25, 2013

These are going to be warm white as well.
