You list the length as 9 inches. Is this the length of the bulb itself not including the prongs, or the entire length including the prongs? The bulb I'm trying to replace is 9 inches for the bulb itself, and 9.75 inches including the prongs.

Answer:
Rick,
The nominal length is 9in. That means the lamp, including the proper allowance for sockets, measures 9in.
The maximum overall length is 8-13/16in. Therefore, This lamp is shorter than the one you are trying to replace. By Larry from Memphis, Tennessee on October 24, 2012

Answer:
That looks like the bulb we purchased. It say this on the bulb (TRS4-6W-W). The exact measurement of ours, including the prongs was 8¾ inches. We knew it was not an exact 9 inches.
