ELECTRICAL FEATURES
Quiet Electronic Ballast: built-in lightweight electronic ballast provides instant-on starting with no flickering and cool quiet operation
On/Off Switch: integral on/off switch
Switching: when these fluorescent under cabinet task lights are linked together, an individual fixture may be adjusted by the on/off fixture switch without affecting the other fixtures. Additionally, if multiple fixtures are hardwired to power, then they may be controlled by a single wall switch as long as the rocker switch on each fixture is left in the “on” position.
Linkable: there are 2 easy ways to connect (link) fixtures together electrically. They can be connected end-to-end directly into each other or they can be linked with Linking Cables. Either method makes use of the male and female Molex connectors that are included at the two ends of each fixture (see the "zoom images" above). The first method allows two fixtures to be touching each other while the second method allows two fixtures to be connected across a distance of about 3ft or less. To purchase Linking Cables for this fixture please order in the Accessories tab. [Caution: do not interconnect more than 600 watts in any single installation.]
INSTALLATION
Easy to Install: please refer to these Installation Instructions (PDF). Always check local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC) before installing any lighting products. It is also wise to consult with a licensed electrician in your geographical area about any electrical details that you might have questions about and to make certain that you are satisfying all of the appropriate electrical codes.
Captive Screws: each light fixture has captive installation screws already located in the right locations; just screw them in while they are in place. No need for keyholes on the “top” of the light fixtures and no need for any templates to locate the installation hole positions
Optional Linking Cables: available in white or black and in three lengths: 12in, 24in, and 36in. A Linking Cable can be used to electrically link 2 Fluorescent T2 Thin Task Lights together. Optional linking cables may be ordered in the Accessories tab.
Optional Power Cord: 6-foot power cord with 3 wires and a grounded plug is available in white or black for optional plug-in installations. Optional 6ft power cords may be ordered in the Accessories tab.
Getting Power: these Fluorescent T2 Thin Under Cabinet Task Lights can be hardwired using standard ROMEX® household wire. They are easy to install using the quick push-in connectors that are supplied in the fixtures and the multiple knockouts on the rear of the task lights. Always check local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC) before installing any light fixtures.

Measurement Guide for Fluorescent T2 Thin Under Cabinet Task Lights
When determining how many Fluorescent T2 Thin Under Cabinet Task Lights and which size you will need for under cabinet lighting you first will have to measure the space where the fixtures will be attached. To do this you should not measure the face of the cabinets; you should measure the "cavity" under the cabinet where the fixtures will actually be placed. We recommend that you "fill up" the cavity space with as many fixtures that can fit. For example, for a space that measures 28 inches we recommend that you use the fixture that measures 22in long, not the one that measures 14in. This will ensure that the countertop below will be uniformly lit. (Measurements below assume that the lights are hardwired and not connected to power by a cord & plug.)

Customer Comments for Fluorescent T2 Thin Under Cabinet Task Lights
“I am extremely pleased with the products I purchased on this web site (Fluorescent T2 Lamps). The selection was fantastic and I found exactly what I wanted.” – Linda R.
“Thank you, Carol, I printed out the return label and the defective fixture will go out in the morning. Many years ago, Alkco sold under cabinet fluorescent fixtures with a lifetime warrantee. I purchased and installed quite a few. They sent me 2 replacement ballasts and nothing after that. They do not return calls or emails. They are not living up to their promise of replacing the part that is defective and paying the contractor $25 for the replacement. My clients are very happy with the under cabinet T2 fixtures (Fluorescent T2 Thin Under Cabinet Task Lights) that I purchased and installed from Pegasus.” – Rob C.

T2 Task lights
By Lorraine from Augusta, GA on November 22, 2011
I love these skinny little fluorescents! At less than an inch high, you cannot see any of the hardware under the counters. They are substantial and excellent quality, quite a bit different from the offerings at the big box stores. Also, there was a short length available, in addition to the other lengths. They give plenty of light, and I am 100% pleased. These exceeded my expectations. Thanks!
Pros:
1) excellent quality - well built, not at all flimsy.
2) so thin you can't see them under the counter
3) good size choices
4) plenty of light
5) the right price for the quality
Cons:
Nothing!

I love my new under the counter light
By Sue from Pittsburgh, PA on October 24, 2011
It really lights up my work section of the kitchen counter. I probably should have gotten a light that could be dimmed some when I'm not working, but it does certainly do the job. Also, the order was here in no time with no problems.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
It is a very good light
By John Chris from West Palm Beach FL on August 29, 2011
Good light
Pros:
Low profile
Good light dispersion
Cons:
Cannot find T2 bulbs in common places -Lowes/Home Depot

Great light fixtures
By elaine from Long Island, NY on July 10, 2011
I just purchased these lights and could not be happier. They are well made and nothing like some of the "junk" you find in home improvement stores. The bronze finish goes great with my cabinets. I had one small problem with a fixture that was sent with a switch that did not work. Customer service was fantastic. I got a replacement in 2 days. Never had such a quick response. My electrician also commented on the quality of the fixture. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Their footprint is very small and the light given out is great. You will not be disappointed with the fixture or the company.
Pros:
Just a great undercabinet fixture
Cons:
nothing

Nice Light, Horrible Power Cord Design
By Marilyn Francis from Mt. Lebanon, PA on July 8, 2011
I bought and installed two of these under cabinet lights. We weren't able to hardwire them so we ordered the power cords. However, these power cords are VERY unsightly and ruin the look over my kitchen counter tops. The cords are thick, black, and why they would design them with the wire coming into the front instead of the top of the plug, so that it lays flat against the wall, is beyond me. Should be designed like an appliance cord. Although I asked Pegaus for ideas on how to hide the cords, if there was another design I could purchase, they were of absolute no help.
Pros:
Color
Quantity of light
Slim design
Cons:
Power cords are a ridiculous design
Units heat up too much for under the counter lighting
Excellent, Quality lighting
By Tom from Ontario, CA on May 19, 2011
I have been using the T-2 lighting for some time now. I recommend these to my customers. I have replaced several in a community on the beach. Everyone that sees these lights installed, have had us install them in their homes, including the extra work we have generated from the exposure to these lights. (Tile backsplashes, granite counters, additional recessed lighting and remodeling.) These fixtures are easily installed and if there are any problems, Pegasus addresses it right away. (Have had some fixtures shipped with bad bulbs, but Pegasus shipped new ones right away). Thanks
Pros:
Ease of installation
Great undercounter lighting
Easily connect units together for different lengths
Great style
Cons:
Bulbs usually have to be ordered, or customer has to find an electrical or lighting store and order bulbs. Bulbs are a bit pricey, but throw nice light.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
T2 Fluorescent Lighting
By Werner from Binghamton, NY on May 15, 2011
Excellent product of high quality and ease of installation for the DIYer. I had several solutions for undercover lighting before but this is the best in both illuminant distribution (volume fill) and soft, candle light color temperature.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Nice under cabinet light
By Brian from Canton, Ohio on April 29, 2011
Nice light. Doesn't produce the heat like halogen lights. And no humming like fluorescent. Could do with out the plugs on the side for the direct wire method.
Pros:
Easy to remove cover and change bulb
Cons:
Hard to find replacement bulb

Task Lighting
By Mary Lee from Ft. Myers, Florida on March 22, 2011
Very good product, gives a very bright while light, good for doing a variety of tasks. I used this product under the cabinets in the kitchen and it illuminates the entire granite counter top area much better, yet it's easy on the eyes. I particularly like the slim case design, it really looks like a true custom task lighting installation. I also like the fact there was a choice in the finish of the casing. I also like the fact there is an on/off switch so you can turn off the fixture you are not using. This is an energy saving feature. Fairly easy to install.
Pros:
Slim case
Choice of exterior finish
On/off switch
Nice choice of overall length to suit a variety of applications
Cons:
NOTHING
I would recommend this item to a friend.
Good light in a well designed housing
By Phyllis Cassidy from Mandeville, LA on March 16, 2011
For my needs it was very nice that the light fixture is so thin, but at the same time it gives out good light for the desk underneath the bookshelves above.
Good design, good light. I am happy with the product and the customer service.
Pros:
slim casing, good light.
Cons:
The front metal edge is wavy and does not look good where it can be seen. Don't put it close to the edge of bookshelf or store shelf.
I would recommend this item to a friend.
