Just What I Was Looking For
October 8, 2014
Several years ago, I purchased several Tiki Torch Lights manufactured by Malibu and loved them. Unfortunately, they are no longer available. I tried other brands and found them to be unsatisfactory but this light from Pegasus works almost identically and I love them. The only difference between this light and my original purchase is that this light has a square top compared to the round top of my first purchase. I recommend this light to anyone interested in a solar Tiki Torch Light.
Pros:
Bright, good flicker representing a real torch and runs all night during the long summer months.

Nice effect, but wrong instructions
March 9, 2014
The tiki torches themselves look good and work well, but the assembly instructions inside the box were wrong, necessitating a call to Customer Service. If you buy these, be aware that the top twists off in order to access the power source for activation. The nice Customer Service lady explained that the instructions are "cross-packaged" meaning that the same instructions accompany various products, which is confusing to the user and a waste of time. The assembly is actually quite simple once you know how it operates, but it is not obvious without correct instructions.
Pros:
Nice nighttime effect with flickering glow
Cons:
Wrong assembly instructions

Questions & Answers

How to replace batteries?

By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on June 13, 2014

Answer:
To access the batteries, you grasp the top of the Tiki Torch with your left hand and the bottom of the torch with your right. Rotate the bottom of the torch counter clockwise and remove from the top. The top is where the battery compartments are. Then you have to remove the light cover (this is the small white cover that goes over the LED Lights) by rotating counter clockwise. Once the light cover is removed you can access the batteries by pushing in on the tab on the battery compartment cover.
