  • Finish: white enamel
  • Solid Construction: fixture frame is constructed of extruded aluminum unlike some T4 fluorescent units that are made of plastic
  • Full Fixture Lighting: the end of the T4 lamp is only 0.50in from the end of the fixture unlike some T4 units like this that often have a full 1.50 inches between the end of the lamp and the end of the fixture
  • Very Low Profile: only 13/16in wide by 1-5/16in high
  • Very Little Heat: gives off very little heat
  • Light Weight: very light weight; depending on size the T4 fixture weighs 5 oz, 7 oz, 9 oz, 10 oz, 11 oz, 17 oz, 19 oz, 22 oz, 25 oz
  • Protective Cover: includes a clear, ribbed, attractive, easy-to-clean acrylic cover that protects the fluorescent lamp
  • Complete Unit: Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Light Fixture includes a T4 fluorescent lamp, acrylic cover, a small on/off rocker switch located on the body of all of the fixtures except the 6-watt model, a 6ft power cord with a three-prong grounded plug, one direct connector, and mounting clips & screws

  • Light Bulb Included: a T4 (4/8in diameter) tri-phosphorous fluorescent lamp with a color temperature of 3000K (warm white), 4100K (cool white), or 6400K (daylight white) is included with each T4 Grounded Light Fixture. Four optional colored T4 lamps are also available: red, blue, green, and black light. (6W lamp does not come in black light.)
  • Very Good Lamp Life: rated life is 16,000 hours on average (Lamp is easily replaced.)
(Caution: always be certain that the lamp is seated properly in both of its sockets. Be sure that both pins of each end are inside their respective socket and that the lamp is rotated 90 degrees once the pins are in the sockets. Failure to make good electrical contact between the pins and its socket may result in arcing and excessive heating of the socket.)
  • Good Color Rendition: high Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 82+ for all 3 white lamps (warm white, cool white, daylight white)
  • 9 Nominal Lengths: 9 lamp nominal lengths of 9in, 13-1/8in, 17in, 18.75in, 20-9/16in, 28.75in, 34in, 40in, and 45.75in regardless of the color temperature or the color of the lamp
  • End of Lamp Life: when a fluorescent light bulb burns out it is always a good idea to turn off the corresponding Microfluorescent fixture. Otherwise, the solid state ballast used inside that fixture can sometimes burn out while trying to start a bad light bulb.

  • Quiet Electronic Ballast: built-in lightweight electronic ballast provides instant-on starting with no flickering and cool quiet operation
  • Energy-Efficient: uses only 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 watts of power/fixture respectively
  • Linkable: can be installed as a single unit or as multiple units connected in line with Direct Connectors and/or Flexible Connectors of 6in, 12in, 24in, or 36in. If the distance between two Microfluorescent T4 Fixtures is greater than 36 inches, then use two or more Flexible Connectors. For example, if the distance between two Microfluorescent T4 Fixtures is 65 inches, use two 36in Flexible Connectors connected end-to-end.
  • Maximum Wattage: in general, the maximum wattage in one “ganged” line of T4 fixtures is 230 watts. However, if the 22W, 24W, 26W, or the 28W fixtures are connected in a single circuit, only 5 of these fixtures may be “ganged” together. Do not exceed power consumption of 230 watts.
  • Rocker Switch Pre-Installed: all of the fixtures (except the 6-watt fixture) come equipped with a small on/off rocker switch on the side of the fixture
  • Switching: when these microfluorescent fixtures are linked together, an individual fixture may be adjusted by the on/off fixture switch without affecting the other fixtures. Additionally, if multiple fixtures are hardwired to power, then they may be controlled by a single wall switch as long as the rocker switch on each fixture is left in the “on” position.
  • 3-Wire Grounded: 3-wire grounded fixtures like these Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Light Fixtures are strongly recommended for projects that require grounding - especially commercial installations; on the other hand, 2-wire non-grounded microfluorescent fixtures can be used for residential installations
  • Not Dimmable: these fluorescent fixtures are not dimmable

  • Easy to Install: easy to install with 2 screw-in clips, then fixture snaps into place
  • Electrical Connections: can easily be connected to power by either using a 6ft power cord & 3-prong grounded plug or a choice of two different Hardwire Boxes. However, these Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Fixtures cannot be hardwired directly because their profile (0.75in by 1.25in) is simply too small.
  • Acrylic Hardwire Box with Control Switch: will permit the Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Light Fixture(s) to be hardwired and controlled by the rocker switch on the hardwire box. It has 3 knockouts for electrical connections. (Please remember that a flexible connector of the appropriate length must be used to connect the hardwire box and Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Light Fixture.)
  • Commercial Grade Metal Hardwire Box: will permit the Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Light Fixture(s) to be hardwired into a circuit controlled by a wall switch. It has 4 knockouts for electrical connections. (Please remember that a Flexible Connector of the appropriate length must be used to connect the hardwire box and a Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Light Fixture.)
  • Optional Accessories: a variety of connectors (Direct Connectors, Flexible Connectors, a Power Cord, Hardwire Boxes, and spare T4 light bulbs) may be ordered separately

Specifications & Measurements

When determining how many Microfluorescent T4 Grounded Light Fixtures and which size you will need for under cabinet lighting location you first will have to measure the space where the fixtures will be attached. To do this you should not measure the face of the cabinets; you must measure the "cavity" under the cabinet where the fixtures will actually be placed. We recommend that you "fill up" the cavity space with the largest fixture that can fit. For example, for a space that measures 28 inches we recommend that you use the 20W fixture that measures 23.0in long, not the 16W fixture that measures 21.5in.

Great undercabinet choice
August 27, 2012
I was very pleased with the low-profile and clean appearance of the fixture for under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. I mounted 3 of these in a series along the front edge of the bottom of the wall cabinets horizontally oriented toward the backsplash. This mounting is easy with the optional horizontal mounting hardware. The effect is even indirect lighting for the counter without any glare. Plenty of light and much more light than we would have obtained had we gone with LED. Great selection of sizes. Reasonable price

Just what I needed
October 25, 2014
This light is very easy to install because you don't have to make exact measurements to match screw holes. You put the clips where you want them and just clip the light on them. It's perfect for an under counter light because of it "micro" size. I got it for a light over my stove top. It's not as bright as the one I had there but it's bright enough.

Very Nice Lights

Very nice and rugged lights. I use these inside units for trade shows and just transporting them around the country really is hard on them but they always work.
Compact and very rugged.

Great Replacement
December 18, 2013
Fit well where the previous 'hidden' desk light was mounted, even used the same screw holes and cable clamps, but gives far more light. Wished it would have come in black but you can't have everything. Hopefully it will last longer than the original fixture.

Very good for my car dealer display. Better than the much more expensive fixture installed by the contractor.

Questions & Answers
By Jimmy from PA on January 19, 2015
Is there a male to male or female to female connector for these fixtures? I need to feed these from the opposite side to keep the rockers in the correct position.
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on January 20, 2015

No, there is not a male to male or female to female cable available. Thanks!
By Russell B from Bristol, VA on January 20, 2015

The light fixtures I bought have a male connection on one end and female on the other. The cord is male. I believe that most of the lights come with an adapter that allow you to directly connect two fixtures together so you should be able to use the adapter in the male end of the fixture to give you a female receptacle for the cord. That way you can turn the switch to the side you need.
By Jeff from NYC on January 21, 2015

There is a "gender changer" in the box with the fixture so that you can arrange the link how you need it.

Has anyone used this light fixture in a cabinet that houses ceramic figurines? If so, is there a glare off the ceramic?
By Gail from San Ramon, CA on August 1, 2012

We have used these lights for +/- 4 years now in our store cabinets. We are antique dealers and display a wide range of glass, porcelain, and ceramic figurines. There is no glare of any item on display. These lights enhance the items under display making them easier to sell. We also use these lights to display jewelry. Once again, they let the jewelry shine with no discolorations. I would highly recommend these lights to anyone. We just purchased more for additional cabinets.
By Steve from Memphis, TN on July 31, 2012

It shouldn't glare. The light is a soft light and the fixture has a diffuser cover over the bulb. I don't notice any glare off my countertop or anything sitting on it. This is only my opinion as I do not have ceramic figurines on my countertop.
By Seth from Virginia on July 31, 2012

While I have not used it for this purpose, it is like any fluorescent light. I would suggest holding a figurine near any fluorescent to see the effect. It is bright and if used to provide cabinet lighting, it will probably provide the desired results. It is also easy to mount in an inconspicuous place.

End Of Bulb Life:
Turning off the corresponding Microfluorescent fixture.
Is this possible when the fixtures are linked and operated from a wall switch?

By Chris from Pegasus Lighting on May 5, 2015

You can connect these fixtures to each other and then to a hardwire box and control the fixtures by a wall switch. If one of the fixtures has a lamp failure you are able to turn off the fixtures at the wall switch. This will of course turn off all of the fixtures connected to the switch.

However, if you want to be able to turn off only ONE fixture connected to the wall switch then you will need access to that fixture's rocker switch (please note that all fixtures except for the 6-watt version has a rocker switch). If you have access to the rocker switch then you can turn off only that one fixture and the others will still operate when using the wall switch they are connected to.

What is the warranty coverage and period for residential application? Is the electronic ballast replaceable?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on March 3, 2014

The warranty is 1 year. No, the ballast is not replaceable.
