- Adjustable Light Shield: fixtures feature an adjustable light shield that rotates 360° to direct light where you need it
- Solid Construction: fixture frame is constructed of extruded aluminum unlike some T4 fluorescent units that are made of plastic
- 2 Finishes: anodized silver or white enamel finish
- Full Fixture Lighting: the end of the T4 lamp is only 0.50in from the end of the fixture unlike some T4 units like this that often have a full 1.50 inches between the end of the lamp and the end of the fixture
- Very Low Profile: only 7/8in wide by 1-5/8in high
- Very Little Heat: gives off very little heat
- Acrylic Diffuser: the acrylic diffuser lamp cover fits securely on the housing of the fixture and distributes light output with the highest efficiency and quality of beam control
- Complete Unit: includes an energy efficient T4 fluorescent lamp, acrylic cover, one direct connector, plug and cord, and stainless steel mounting clips with screws for vertical or horizontal mount.
LIGHT BULB
- T4 Fluorescent Light Bulb Included: an energy-efficient T4 (4/8in diameter) tri-phosphorous fluorescent light bulb with a color temperature of 3000K (warm white), 4100K (cool white), or 6400K (daylight white) is included with each Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixture
- Very Good Lamp Life: rated life is 16,000 hours on average (Lamp is easily replaced.)
(Caution: always be certain that the lamp is seated properly in both of its sockets. Be sure that both pins of each end are inside their respective socket and that the lamp is rotated 90 degrees once the pins are in the sockets. Failure to make good electrical contact between the pins and its socket may result in arcing and excessive heating of the socket.)
- Good Color Rendition: high Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 82+ for all 3 white lamps (warm white, cool white, daylight white)
- 7 Nominal Lengths: 8 lamp nominal lengths of 9in, 13-1/8in, 17in, 18.75in, 20-1/2in, 34in, and 45.75in regardless of the color temperature or the color of the lamp
- End of Lamp Life: when a fluorescent light bulb burns out it is always a good idea to turn off the corresponding Microfluorescent fixture. Otherwise, the solid state ballast used inside that fixture can sometimes burn out while trying to start a bad light bulb.
ELECTRICAL FEATURES
- Quiet Electronic Ballast: built-in lightweight electronic ballast provides instant-on starting with no flickering and cool quiet operation
- Energy-Efficient: uses only 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 watts of power/fixture respectively
- Linkable: can be installed as a single unit or as multiple units connected in line with Direct Connectors of various types and/or Flexible Connectors of 6in, 12in, 24in, or 36in. If the distance between two Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixtures is greater than 36 inches, then use two or more Flexible Connectors. For example, if the distance between two Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixtures is 65 inches, use two 36in Flexible Connectors connected end-to-end.
- Maximum Wattage: up to 10 fixtures may be linked together with a maximum total wattage of 350 watts
- 3-Wire Grounded: 3-wire grounded fixtures like these Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixtures are strongly recommended for projects that require grounding - especially commercial installations; on the other hand, 2-wire non-grounded microfluorescent fixtures can be used for residential installations
- Not Dimmable: these fluorescent fixtures are not dimmable
INSTALLATION
- Easy to Install: easy to install with 2 stainless steel screw-in clips, then fixture snaps into place
- Electrical Connections: can easily be connected to power by using the included 6ft power cord or two different Hardwire Boxes. However, these Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixtures cannot be hardwired directly because their profile is simply too small (7/8in by 1-5/8in). The hardwire boxes can be ordered in the Accessories tab.
- Plastic Hardwire Box with Control Switch: will permit the Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixture(s) to be hardwired and controlled by the rocker switch on the hardwire box. It has 3 knockouts for electrical connections. (Please remember that a flexible connector of the appropriate length must be used to connect the hardwire box and the Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixture.) The optional Hardwire Boxes may be ordered in the Accessories tab.
- Commercial Grade Metal Hardwire Box: will permit the Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixture(s) to be hardwired into a circuit controlled by a wall switch. Measurement Guide for Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixtures
When determining how many Microfluorescent Adjustable T4 Grounded Light Fixtures and which size you will need for lighting your situation you first will have to measure the space where the fixtures will be attached. We recommend that you "fill up" the space with the largest fixture that can fit. For example, for a space that measures 28 inches we recommend that you use the 20-watt fixture that measures 23.25in long, not the 16-watt fixture that measures 21.5in long.

By Jack Haney from Las Vegas, NV on August 23, 2012 How do I change the lamp? By Carll Boland from Cincinnati, Ohio on October 22, 2012Answer:I hate to say it but changing the lamp is a pain. You can easily snap off the plastic cover but trying to remove the bulb without tearing the fixture to pieces is difficult. if you don't change them very often you forget how to do it the next time around. The first time i called Pegasus and the lady said "YES, it is a pain" and then told me what to do. Then next time around I was in a hurry ... I got tired of trying so I just ordered a complete new fixture rather than changing the bulb. I took one home to try it under less stress for next time ... but haven't got to it yet. By Jack from San Jose on October 22, 2012 Can this fixture be hard wired? Where are the KOs? By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on October 22, 2012Answer:Jack,
To hardwire these fixtures, you will need to use a flexible connector to connect to a hardwire box, which in turn has knockouts for connecting to power.
These items are available on the Accessories tab.By Anna from New York, NY on October 22, 2012Answer:Yes, there is a hardwire box available on the Pegasus website. The box has a variety of knock outs provided. Although I always hardwire the ones I use for projects, I also tend to spec the switch on the fixture (which are not on the website, you have to special order those) to avoid two switches as you can gang quite a few of these together. It doesn't save any money, but is rather convenient for the client.By Jack from San Jose on October 22, 2012 Is it better to locate this fixture at the back or the front of the cabinet? By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on October 22, 2012Answer:Jack,
This is a matter of preference. If you are desiring optimal task lighting, it is best to place as far to the front of the cabinet. However, the fixture will be more visible. By Anna from New York, NY on October 22, 2012Answer:At the front......otherwise you're not going to be lighting the work surface.By Gini from SE TX on October 22, 2012Answer:It depends on how deep of a lip there is on the front of your cabinet. They hang down 2". Our front lip is very shallow, so we installed them at the back of the cabinet. We didn't like being able to see them from farther back in the room, so we installed a thin 2 1/4" wooden slat in front of them and painted it white like our cabinets. We are very pleased with the end result. The light still shines out to the front edge of the counter-top. These lights were a perfect solution for us, and the price very reasonable. Hopefully, they will work for you, too!By Carll Boland from Cincinnati, Ohio on October 22, 2012Answer:In our installation, a THRIFT STORE, JHB ELECTRIC installed the T4 at the FRONT of the showcase mainly for two reasons. First was that the showcase had glass shelving that started in the back and came forward only half way. Even though the shelving was glass the store covered the glass in some cases with a velvet like cover. Secondly the convenient adjustable feature on the fixture allowed for easy "aiming" of the light. I would recommend the install location would be best chosen for your particular situation. I think front shining back is best though. Hope this helped. PS* Customer loved the light!

Love these fixtures!
January 29, 2012
We installed 2 of these over our kitchen sink, inside a homemade shadowbox with a decorative diffuser. It's not only gorgeous, but gives off the perfect amount of warm light.
Pros:Simple to install and very compact.
Cons:Nothing.

Excellent quality. Easy set up.
Pros:Attractive. Easy set up.
Cons:No on/off switch or didn't see note in description indicating I would need switch. Just need to get timer for light, but would have been nice to know when ordering.

Great little under-counter light
July 30, 2011
We love this light especially compared to the LED lights that are available. The soft light and the warmer color is much more attractive.
Pros:Color temperature and softness of light. Plus the ability to change the direction is a great plus.
Cons:Nothing at all.
