Description of our 750-Watt 12-Volt Magnetic Low Voltage Transformer

This 3-circuit low voltage magnetic transformer will power your 12-volt halogen or xenon lighting systems with a maximum wattage of 600. All electrical connections can be conveniently stored in the included metal enclosure.

• Uses: used to power 12-volt halogen or 12-volt xenon lighting systems [Caution: Not recommended for low voltage cable lighting systems that use cables suspended between walls to support and power decorative low voltage light fixtures hanging from the cables.]
• Designed for 3 Separate Circuits: this transformer has 3 sets of output leads, which allow for 3 separate circuits (one pair of output leads is used for each circuit)
• Maximum Load: 600 watts maximum of lighting load (200 watts per circuit). Like most magnetic transformers, these transformers should be used to power about 80% of their wattage rating. [Caution: Always attach the load to the transformer before connecting the transformer to power.]
• Input: 120 volts AC, 60 Hz, 6.5 amps
• Input Leads: 6-inch 18 AWG wires
• Output: 11.5 volts AC
• Output Leads: 6-inch 12 AWG wires [Suggestion: Use a terminal block for each connection in the 12V output circuit and make certain that these connections are very tight and secure. Also, be sure that the gauge of the electrical wire used in the output circuit is not less than 12 AWG.]
• Installation: the transformer and all of the hardwired electrical splices (connections) can be conveniently stored in the included metal enclosure
• Metal Enclosure: easy opening case with knock-outs for hardwiring. Powder coated textured paint finish.
• Power Cord Available: 8-foot power cord with 3-prong plug and cable connector is available for converting this transformer to a plug-in model. See Accessories tab to purchase.
