Useful wall control for bath wall
January 24, 2015
I installed this Lutron timer-dimmer in my hall bath, and I've been using it for a week now.
I'm very happy with its performance.
Pros:- When you turn on the lights, it does not switch on instantly. It fades up from black over about 2 seconds.
- Likewise when you turn OFF, it fades down over 2 seconds.
- The little LED indicator bar graphs are useful. Easy to see and functional LED bar graphs glow in the dark. But they're not bright enough to use as night lights.
Cons:The white square buttons are flush with the wall.
This means you can't work by feel - you must look at them and use your eyes.
Around the house, I work a lot by feel, like I did with the old toggle switches. Now I'm forced to look.
This could be fixed with a protrusion on each plastic switch.
