- A) Some other light boxes do not use LCD (optical light panel) backlight technology. All of our light boxes provide very bright and very even illumination while using low power consumption and state-of-the-art glass technology.

- A) Our backlit light boxes range in thickness from 0.5 inches to 1.625 inches while competing light boxes can be as thick as 3-4 inches.
- Q) How is the transparency image placed into a light box?
- A) Different light boxes accept the transparency graphic in different ways. The larger light boxes have “Quick Grip” frames that make it a “snap” to insert and retain graphics. No tools are needed to insert the graphic image into any of our light boxes.

- A) They accept virtually any type of graphic transparency.
- Q) Do the light boxes have any protection for the transparency graphic?
- A) Yes, depending on the style of the light box selected it has either a protective plastic sheet or an acrylic panel that is placed over the backlit transparency image.

- Q) What is a T5 fluorescent lamp?
- A) A T5 fluorescent lamp is a tubular fluorescent light bulb that is 5/8 inches in diameter.
- Q) Can I replace one of the T5 fluorescent light bulbs in the light box?
- A) Yes, you can easily replace a burned out T5 fluorescent light bulb.
- Q) What type of T5 fluorescent light bulb should be used to replace the one that has burned out?
- A) The replacement fluorescent light bulb should be the same length, use the same wattage, and have a “daylight” color temperature of 5000K-6500K.
- Q) What does CCFL stand for?
- A) CCFL stands for Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp.
- Q) How does a cold cathode fluorescent lamp differ from a standard fluorescent lamp?
- A) These two types of light bulbs are quite similar. However, one of the main differences is that the cathodes (the electrodes that emit electrons) at the ends of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp operate at a cooler temperature than the cathodes at the ends of a standard fluorescent lamp. Neon lamps are a common example of cold cathode lamps.

- A) An authorized dealer will have to replace a burned out CCFL tube at a cost of about $12-$15 plus the cost of shipping.
