Worked as advertised
December 2, 2013
These channels are heavy duty. A lot heavier then the 3/8" channels I had with the old rope lights. After reading the suggestions to use double sided tape to secure the channels, I thought I would try it. Using the tape was EASY and EFFECTIVE. Thanks for the suggestion! I would recommend this product and I will be ordering more for another project in the future.
Pros:
Thick plastic, very sturdy
Cons:
None that I found.

Does what is meant to do!
May 24, 2013
Not a lot to say about this product other than it does what it is meant to do. Can be mounted with small screws or double sided tape (which you supply). I am using it to put a rope light under the rear seats in my Ford F150. Will work just fine. Price was right too!
Cons:
None

Quality product

This channel worked perfectly for mounting a rope light on a porch. Counter sunk mounting holes and cut the sections down, where needed, with a hand saw. Would absolutely buy these again.

MUCH Better Than Clips!
December 27, 2011
I wanted to put up rope lighting around the perimeter of my basement walls to offer ambient lighting without needing normal incandescent lighting. (My basement is basically an arcade, and soft lighting is needed). I've had the rope lighting from my previous residence and wanted to install it in my new residence, but I HATED those stupid, cheap clips that come with them. I found these channels and figured it would be FAR better than the clips. I was right! I drilled small holes through the base of the channel to screw it into the wall. No cracking and is solid. Putting the rope light in the channel is tight, but once it's in, it sits nicely without pinching. There's enough room that I can slide the rope lighting in it to situate the lighting right how I need it. Yes, it's more costly than the little clips, but then again, you DO get what you pay for. This channeling is WELL worth the cost!
Pros:
Easy installation Must better than clips Holds lights nice and straight Practically invisible when lights are on
Cons:
Nothing! It's just GREAT!

Questions & Answers

If you want to turn a corner with this channel, can it be cut first and then lay the rope light in?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on July 19, 2013

Answer:
Ian,

Yes, you can cut it but it might be pretty difficult. The plastic is rather thick.
