Description

An LED remote controlled, battery operated spotlight with a motion sensor that is suitable for indoor or outdoor use is available from Pegasus Lighting. This outdoor light is perfect for safety or security lighting of driveways, decks, patios, walkways, yards, garages, basements, and storage rooms.

LIGHT FIXTURE

  • Remote Control or Motion Sensor Activated: use the remote control to turn the LED spotlight on when desired or the motion sensor turns the spotlight on when motion is detected
  • Remote Control: has a 75ft range and may be mounted in a convenient location using the mounting bracket that is included
  • Motion Sensor Sensitivity: detects motion up to 30 feet away with a 180-degree angle of detection
  • Built-In Photocell: ensures that the LEDs are activated only in darkness
  • Adjustable Automatic Shut-Off: spotlight turns off if not retriggered by motion after 30 seconds or 10 minutes depending on how the automatic shut-off setting is adjusted. This feature prevents unnecessary drain on the batteries.
  • Weatherproof Design: may be used indoors or outdoors

Great Little Spotlight
November 5, 2013
We have one side of the house that has no outdoor lighting and needed something simple so hubby could refill the Hummingbird feeders after dark. The LED Remote light was ideal, affordable and took little effort in setting it up. One thing we really liked was the Hi/Low setting........we find the low setting gives more than enough light. Because of nearby bushes and the wind we get we chose to tape over the motion sensor (one has to open the unit) and use only the remote to control on and off. Keep in mind this probably voids any warranty. One tip: for anyone testing the unit, remember that you need to be in a dark room. Even with the sensor taped over, the remote control only works when the light is in a dark area. Kudos to Pegasus for having the best prices and offering a great selection of lights. Shipping was very fast! Thanks!

LED Motion Sensor
March 27, 2014
This is a great motion sensor light. Easy to install, and the fact that I could have it stay on longer is perfect.

Outdoor LED Security Light
August 28, 2013
This light is great for outside areas. It provides excellent lighting for pathways and steps. More importantly, the motion sensor activation provides a nice security light for unwanted visitors.
Pros:
light is very bright and provides excellent coverage

Pleasantly surprised
July 13, 2013
The quality is great and it gives the perfect amount of light in the area we needed it. I wanted something under the deck to keep an eye on the dogs at night , take stuff to trash, etc. These lights are bright and solid. The remote feature is great! We like them enough we are going to buy a few more!
Pros:
Bright Easy to install
Cons:
D batteries (but worth it)

Reliable and performs well
June 8, 2013
We needed a small spotlight to illuminate a kinetic sculpture in the garden after dark, but didn't want it to be illuminated continuously. I successfully disabled the motion detector on the product so it now goes on/off only when the remote is used to control it. However, the timing device cannot be disabled, so the light can be on for a maximum of 10 minutes at a time before the remote "on" button needs to pushed again. Deactivating the motion sensor involves disassembly of the product and voids the manufacturer's warranty; it takes about 15 minutes.
Pros:
Provides excellent lighting at a low cost Reliable
Cons:
For this application, it would be ideal if the duration of "on" could be extended beyond 10 minutes

Not worth the $$ for quality

One constantly stays on, draining D size batteries. The other one blinks on & off. Neither remote lasts any length of time. Sorry...not impressed at all.

Battery operated
January 10, 2013
I purchased this for an evening event. When placed in the ground with stakes the spotlight was limited to a 10 foot range even with 3 lights. This was barely sufficient for the purpose needed. Being elevated provided the best coverage. I would recommend this spotlight - whether in a pathway for lighting or elevated for extended lighting coverage. If an extended pole could be provided with a ground stake (and being secured) it may be a better option for outdoor evening event usage (sort of like a tiki torch pole).

LED Remote Controlled Spotlight
December 29, 2012
This is the second of these lights that I own. Just love this product! They give a very bright light and having the remote makes it even better. When you have dogs going in and out you can turn them off manually. This one is used to make an area by the steps bright so my older dogs can see better at night.
Pros:
Everything
Cons:
Nothing

Questions & Answers
By Matt from Florida on February 26, 2013
If you covered the motion detector permanently, would I be able to remote operate it only? I would like to be able to turn it on and off when needed.
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on February 26, 2013

Answer:
Matt, using the remove you can turn it on/off as needed without having to disable the motion sensor.

Covering it might reduce it's sensitivity but I cannot assure you that it will not trigger the fixture.

By George from Towson, Maryland on March 4, 2013
In your answer to one of the other questions, you seem to indicate that it is possible to operate this lamp exclusively by the remote control. I would be mounting the light about twenty feet from my back alley and do not want it activated by anyone else driving or walking past my driveway. Can the motion sensor feature be completely bypassed at all times?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on March 4, 2013

Answer:
I'm sorry - no, the motion sensor cannot be bypassed.

By Reed from St. Louis, MO on December 2, 2012
Can this be used to light my flag at night? Will it stay on from dusk to dawn without having to detect motion? Will one be enough to light the flag approx 7ft away?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on December 3, 2012

Answer:
Reed,

This spotlight operates when it detects motion when it is dark out.

In short, it will not stay on all night.

By Karen from Atlanta, Georgia on October 5, 2012
Can more than one light be operated with a single remote?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on October 12, 2012

Answer:
Yes, more than one spotlight can be controlled by one remote. Each light has a "code" you can set. If the codes are the same, the remote will function for both.
By Trevor from New Jersey on October 8, 2012

Answer:
I believe so. I returned mine because I needed something a little bigger so I am not 100% sure. But it should not matter for you because each light came with a remote & batteries.
By Hannah from Prescott, Arizona on October 8, 2012

Answer:
Yes, as long as the code is set for the same numbers on each light. If they are far apart, they may still all light, but if not get closer to the one that did not light and do it again. Same with the off. I saved the extra remote in case of problems.
