The 9-watt LED monopoint display light provides accent lighting to showcase a spectrum of display items such as merchandise or artwork on a wall. This display light includes three 3-watt LEDs that create an appealing ambiance. The directional canopy rotates 340 degrees horizontally and 180 degrees vertically so you can direct the light where you need it.

Is this dimmable. Also, what does the 40 degree light-beam spread mean? That is, if this light is on a 9 foot ceiling about 18" from the wall aiming downward to a large painting (3'x6') hanging from 2' above the floor to 1' below the ceiling... would the illumination cover most of the artwork? Thanks!

No, it is not dimmable.
I actually think you would have it mounted to close to the painting to properly cover such a large surface. You may need to move it farther away.
