What depth of mounting surface is necessary for this to be a recessed light source? I want to mount these in mill work that overhangs a bar top.

The lights 1/2in thick including the trim. To be safe, I would say having an inch thickness for the mounting surface would be adequate.

Hi. Could these lights be used in a ceiling as well?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on September 7, 2014
Answer:They are not designed for installing in a ceiling. They require a plug-in driver so you have to plug them into a wall outlet.

Each light comes with 98" of wire. Can this be added on too?
By Ila from Pegasus Lighting on February 23, 2015
Answer:We do not recommend lengthening the wire. Splicing or lengthening the wire may result in voltage drop causing the driver to overwork and eventually fail.
