By David from Brooklyn, NY on March 7, 2013 Does this get very hot, especially on the back side as I want to use it on a cardboard display? By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on March 7, 2013Answer:David,
No, it does not get very hot. By Carolyn from Texas on December 17, 2012 Does the light shut off after 30 minutes? By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on December 17, 2012Answer:Carolyn,
The puck light turns on/off by pushing the center of the light. It does not auto turn off at a set time. By Lisa from California on December 17, 2012Answer:No, there is no timer. It just stays on until you either turn it off yourself or the battery dies.By Mary from Salisbury, NC on December 17, 2012Answer:The puck lights I purchased did not cut off until manually pushed off. They were used for accent up lighting in arrangements at a reception.By Greg G from Montana on December 17, 2012Answer:No, the Puck Light does not shut off after 30 minutes, so I placed mine right by the door I exit from.
They are really bright and will illuminate a room for quite a distance.By Anna Garrett from Williamsburg, VA on March 29, 2013 I would like to use these in a showcase at an antique mall. Unfortunately my electrical outlet does not shut off at night as I am part of the mall's security circuit, so I really need to know how long the battery lasts as it will be on all the time.
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on April 1, 2013Answer:Anna,
The batteries will not last very long if you are running them all of the time. I would suggest using rechargeable batteries.By David Sohn from Northbrook, IL on October 16, 2012 Maybe I missed it, but what equivalent wattage does the puck light generate?
Do you guarantee that that the sticky tape will keep it from falling off?
Is it designed so the batteries can be changed without removing the sticky tape? By James from Vail, AZ on October 17, 2012Answer:Each puck seems to be equivalent to about a 25 watt bulb. The sticky does work and well, and all you have to do is turn the puck and it will disengage from the sticky base. The batteries are right there and a cinch to change. Then slide back on the base and turn to lock down tight. |

A swivel base would have worked better for me as I had various things to illuminate in a cabinet, butIi bent some metal bookends and used them.
Pros:everything
Cons:nothing

NOT UP TO PAR
December 30, 2012
I would rather pay more money for a better quality item. This one is poorly made and is fragile for a light that requires pushing to get on and off.
Pros:size
Cons:poorly made

Nice LED, but it is what it is
March 8, 2012
I bought this as an experiment, just to see what a battery powered LED puck light could do. I haven't had it long enough to judge the batteries. What it does well, is shine a fairly narrow beam of very white light. If that's what you need--say as temporary display lighting--this light is perfect and simple to use. What it doesn't do, is spread light. It won't, for example, light a clothes closet. This isn't permanent task lighting. If you want that, you'll have to step up in cost, and maybe deal with wiring, but you'll get a better result.
Pros:Inexpensive and bright within its narrow focus
Cons:Doesn't spread much light

Beware of where you use this light
January 4, 2012
I purchased 3 lights to highlight a Nativity that has been in my family for many years. Two of the lights worked perfectly; however, one of the lights was evidently defective and fell in the middle of the night, causing the light to break and very nearly breaking the Nativity as well. Please consider using a heavy-duty adhesive that will ensure these lights won't fall.
Pros:I love the size and brightness of the lights.
Cons:One of the lights fell because it did not have enough adhesive to hold it to the shelf. I would recommend these lights only for areas that do not have breakable objects.

Great light

Purchased several of these for elderly mother in law who uses a walker all the time. Placed them around her place on counter tops and she can easily "tap" them on, even with arthritic hands. Great little item to keep in the walker as well.
Pros:Easy use for elderly. Compact size.
