At what distance can it detect motion? I'm using it for a stairwell, so I'd like to determine how many I would need. Thanks

Motion coverage is within 25 feet.

How long can the batteries operate the light before going dead?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on March 5, 2013
It depends on the quality of the batteries you use and how often the motion sensor/photocell trigger the light.

Can I use this light inside my freezer?
By Chris from Pegasus Lighting on May 27, 2014
Answer:It will probably work in the freezer but I am not sure what will happen to battery life.
By jack from Ivins, UT on May 27, 2014
Answer:I don't see why not. I mounted two of these inside a safe. They light up as soon as I open the safe door.
However I don't know what the battery life will be due to the extreme cold of a freezer.

I recently purchased this light and love it so much, it has landed a spot in my purse. I use it for EVERYTHING. The motion sensor is sensitive and consistent, so I was not surprised that it operated just fine when I tested its effectiveness in the freezer. I can't speak to prolonged freezer use, and how, if at all, the light and/or battery life is affected by freezing temperatures or condensation. I can, however, confirm that its a sturdy and bright light, so if you keep it dry and in a spot where the motion detector's line of vision is not obstructed, it should be perfect.

How bright is the light?
By Marty from Winthrop, MA on July 15, 2014
Answer:I have a long dark stairway, 14 steps, and this provides adequate lighting. The motion sensor saves the batteries and triggers when one enters the hallway.

Can this light be adjusted and angled as needed? I am thinking about using this for lighting up glass artwork on a shelf.
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on October 10, 2012
Answer:The light has a handle that can be adjusted 360 degrees. You could place it on the shelf or hang it to direct the light to accent your artwork.

Answer:The light can be placed in any position you like...It does not swivel from side to side however. There is a fold out handle that you can use to hang the light if needed. Right now I'm using it in my kitchen area in the motion sensor mode. When I enter the kitchen in the middle of the night, the light is activated when entering the room. I like the light very much and will be buying another to use outside in a lantern I have. I'll use it in the photocell mode to go on at night and off during the day.. Hope this helps..

I'm thinking of using this for extra light in my shower area. How does it attach to the wall? How much does the head swivel up & down?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on February 11, 2013
The light has a support ring for attaching to surfaces. See a very helpful customer submitted picture on the Q&A tab.
The ring can be rotated, allowing you to swivel the light up/down 360 degrees.

Can the motion detector capability be turned off so that the light stays on during the entire night?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on February 18, 2013
No, the motion sensor feature cannot be turned off.
