Does the front insert have any mobility to point the light further down?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on August 20, 2014
Answer:No, they do not adjust.
By Elton from Kansas City on August 20, 2014
Answer:You can't adjust where the light shines. These are very small lights. I'm happy with them, but they are about the size of a quarter and don't make things super bright. They are a nice safety light on a set of stairs in our home.

Answer:Unfortunately, the front insert does not have any mobility to point the light further down, but you could mount it on a wedge if you need to angle it down.
By Mark from Winston Salem, NC on August 20, 2014
Answer:No, it is fixed. We're using these down the stairs and like them. I knew they wouldn't be very bright based on other reviews (and since they use just one CR2032 battery each), but they're working well so far.

Answer:The housing is plastic. The lights are smaller than I expected. They turned out to be very unobtrusive and work great for the many stairwells in my home. Am now going to order more for the opposite side of the 4 ft. wide stairs in my home. Can't believe that I won't have to change the batteries for one year. Thanks Nene M.
By Gary from Rockford, IL on August 11, 2012
Answer:Plastic, it is the battery holder.

Is there a switch or something of the sort to turn on/off or only automatic?
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on August 24, 2014
It turns on automatically when it's dark. There is no manual switch.

Do you have to mount this on the wall to work? I am traveling overseas, and need a night light in the hotels, that I will be changing every other night.
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on February 1, 2015
Answer:Lynn, they do not have to be mounted. You can place them on a table, for example. They do have reusable adhesive so you could choose to mount them and then remove them.

Can this lights be used outside? Thanks!
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on April 12, 2013
Answer:No, it is for indoor use only.
By Dave from Detroit, MI on February 3, 2013
Could you elaborate on the "reusable mounting"? Does the shell stay on the wall when replacing the battery? Any info appreciated!
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on February 4, 2013
The adhesive can be simply wiped with a damp, clean cloth to allow for it to be used again.
To change the battery it would probably be easiest to remove the unit from the wall.
