I'm not sure I'm clear on your question. This light has some choices on how to set it. It has a manual bright, dim, and off power switch; will work regardless of light level or motion (like the light switch on your wall). Press the silver plate that surrounds the motion sensor (the white bubble on the face).
You can also set it for 30 sec or 60 sec delay where both the motion and light sensor are engaged. If the unit is in the dark it will turn off if there is no motion, if there is motion in the dark, it will light up. If there is light then it won't go on in this mode. If I understand the question, it will not trigger itself on if there is sufficient light artificial or natural.
