As you're unpacking your boxes of old holiday lights, this Light Keeper Pro repair tool might be your secret weapon to avoid holiday stress. At the very least, it will certainly prevent you from making another trip to the store for replacement holiday lights. This tool is easy to use, effective, and battery operated.
Uses: repairs icicle lights, cluster lights, holiday lights, lighted reindeer, pre-lit trees [Caution: not intended for use with LED lights.]
Repairs Miniature Holiday Lights: to fix most problems in seconds, simply remove any unlit miniature light bulb, connect the empty socket to the Light Keeper Pro’s socket connector, and squeeze the trigger a few times until the lights turn on. To complete the repair, replace the removed light bulb and any bad light bulbs.

Light Bulb Tester: plug the questionable light bulb into tester located on the top of tool. If the light bulb lights up, it is still functioning.
Fuse Tester: place fuse into tester located on top of tool. If the LED indicator light turns on, the fuse is still functioning.
Beeping Continuity Detector: press button on top and scan a malfunctioning string of lights until beeping stops to locate loose lamps or faulty sections of wire
Light Bulb Extractor: the light bulb puller, located on the tip of the Light Keeper Pro, aids in removing those hard-to-remove miniature light bulbs
Handy Storage Compartment: holds spare light bulbs and fuses [Caution: The 3.5-volt light bulbs should be used on the 35 and 70-light sets and the 2.5-volt light bulbs should be used with the 50, 100, and 150-light sets.]

Does not work

So far I have not been able to get the lights repair tool / light keeper pro to work. All I can get it to do is beep when you get it near a strand of lights that is working fine. Other than that it does not work.

This unit uses a L154 battery which is not available anyplace but with a new unit. So when the batteries go bad you have no place to get replacements except to buy a new unit. Sounds like designed in resales.

When the batteries fail it is impossible to find them.

Inside the packaging for this product are the details for battery replacement. The appropriate replacement battery is an L1154 alkaline cell battery or equivalent type battery (i.e., LR44, AG-13, A76, or 357). While we do not sell these batteries, I was able to perform a search for L1154 on the internet and a number of websites selling the battery were available.
