Hera Fluorescent T5 SlimLIte XL light fixtures are energy-efficient, using built-in, silent, electronic ballasts, low profile, and generate very little heat. Link multiple fixtures together and use as backlighting, cabinet lighting, cove lighting, desk lighting, display case lighting, exhibits, indirect lighting, merchandising, over cabinet lighting, shelf lights, showcase lighting, task lighting, trade show lighting, and under cabinet lighting.

LIGHT BULB

• Light Bulb: uses a T5 fluorescent light bulb (ordered separately on the Accessories tab). [Caution: always be certain that the lamp is seated properly in both of its sockets. Be sure that both pins of each end are inside their respective socket and that the lamp is rotated 90 degrees once the pins are in the sockets. Failure to make good electrical contact between the pins and its socket may result in arcing and excessive heating of the socket.]
• Very Good Lamp Life: rated life is 20,000 hours on average
• Excellent Color Rendition: high color rendering index (CRI) of 82+
• End of Lamp Life: when a fluorescent light bulb burns out it is always a good idea to turn off the corresponding Microfluorescent fixture. Otherwise, the solid state ballast used inside that fixture can sometimes burn out while trying to start a bad light bulb.

ELECTRICAL FEATURES

• Quiet Electronic Ballast: built-in lightweight electronic ballast provides instant-on starting with no flickering and cool quiet operation
• Energy Efficient: uses only 21, 28, 35 watts of power/fixture respectively
• Easy to Link Fixtures Together: can be installed as multiple units connected in line with direct connectors or flexible connecting cables of 6in, 12in, 24in, 48in, or 72in. These flexible connecting cables cannot be connected to each other to create a longer connection.
• Several Fixtures May be Linked Together: maximum wattage in one “ganged” line is 245 watts
• 2-Wire Non-Grounded: 2-wire non-grounded fixtures like these Hera Fluorescent T5 SlimLite XL Light Fixtures can be used for residential installations; on the other hand, 3-wire grounded microfluorescent fixtures are strongly recommended for projects that require grounding - especially commercial installations
• Not Dimmable: these fluorescent fixtures are not dimmable

INSTALLATION

• Very Easy to Install: easy to install with included 3 screw-in clips, then fixture snaps into place
• Plug-In Electrical Connection: can easily be connected to power by using a 6ft white cord & plug adapter (sold separately on the Accessories tab).
• Hardwire Electrical Connection: may be connected to power by using a special Hardwire Box (sold separately on the Accessories tab), that accepts a standard household wire and, in turn, can be connected to a T5 SlimLite XL fixture using a Flexible Connecting Cable. The T5 SlimLite XL fixtures cannot be hardwired directly to standard household wire without this special Hardwire Box; the profile of these T5 fixtures is simply too small. The dimensions of the Hardwire Box are 3-5/8in L x 2.25in W x 1-3/8in H.

ACCESSORIES

• Plexiglass Covers: attractive easy-to-clean plexiglass cover that protects T5 fluorescent lamp
• T5 Fluorescent Light Bulbs: sold separately, and additional spare lamps are recommended
• 6ft Power Cord & Plug with or without an on/off roller switch - one is required for plug-in electrical connections.
• Hardwire Box: used for hardwiring system to power
• Direct Connector: used to connect two fixtures end-to-end
• Flexible Connectors: used to connect two fixtures together at various distances
