I have a 4 foot diameter painting with high gloss acrylic finish. It is mounted so the top of the painting is 13 inched from the ceiling. What I am really looking for is a beam of light that would tightly fit my 4 foot painting. I am looking a ceiling mounting of the fixture. I would like the lighting to be adjustable by dimming.

This monopoint light is designed for lighting projects just like yours. It's dimmable, adjustable, and will provide a nice accent light for your painting.

Can a 12v MR16 GU5.3 LED bulb be used in this fixture?

Answer:Yes, if it's suitable for use in an enclosed fixture and if it's compatible with electronic low voltage transformers.

I have a landscape painting that is 6 feet wide. Will a spreader lens be enough for this light to work for lighting this large painting?

Answer:Susan, it depends on how far away from the paining the light will be and how tall your ceilings car.

Answer:We installed our monopoint display light about 3-4 ft from the wall to illuminate an antique quilt which is about 7 ft wide and hangs ceiling to floor. With the spreader lens we are very happy with the light provided. We also installed a dimmer switch to soften the light at night. Based on our experience, I think you will be pleased with this light for your painting.
