• Blue Tinted Light: this fluorescent tube cover alters the color of the light emitted by the fluorescent light bulb from white to blue
• Transmittance: has 0% transmittance below 370 nanometers; eliminates some but not all UV rays [Caution: The primary purpose of this tube cover is to create blue light from white light - not to protect rare and delicate artifacts from UV rays.]
• Polycarbonate Plastic: durable polycarbonate plastic sleeve helps to contain shards of glass and phosphorus coating if the fluorescent lamp should break or shatter
• Length: nominal length of 4 feet; may be cut to any length shorter than 4 feet
• Diameter: the inner diameter of the tube guard is 1.22 inches, which is designed to fit over a T8 linear fluorescent lamp that measures 1.0 inch (8/8in) in diameter
