A 150-watt 12-volt AC electronic transformer, made by Lightech, is backed by a 4-year warranty. It is fully dimmable and designed to power 12-volt halogen or xenon lighting systems.
Uses: used to power 12-volt halogen or 12-volt xenon lighting systems.
Maximum 150 Watts of Load: 150 watts maximum of lighting load. Unlike most magnetic transformers, these electronic transformers can be used to power the maximum wattage. [Caution: Always attach the load to the transformer before connecting the transformer to power.]
Minimum 50 Watts of Load: if this transformer does not have a minimum of 50 watts of lighting load, it will not operate
Input Specs: 120 volts AC, 60 Hz, 1.25 amps
Input Wires: use the black and white wires on the transformer for input
Output Specs: 11.8 volts AC, 30 kHz, 12.6 amps
Output Wires: use the blue wires on the transformer for output. Use a terminal block for each connection in the 12V output circuit and make certain that these connections are very tight and secure. Also, be sure that the gauge of the electrical wire used in the output circuit is not less than 12 AWG.
Measuring Output Voltage: a standard AC voltmeter cannot measure the output of a high frequency electronic transformer; instead, a special "true RMS" voltmeter must be used
Metal Case: includes a metal case in which electrical splices (connections) may be stored when this transformer is hardwired to power. This unit does not come with a cord & plug set but one can be added in the field.
Power Cord Available: 8-foot power cord with 3-prong plug and cable connector is available for converting this transformer to a plug-in model.
Case Dimensions: 1-3/8in(H) x 1.5in(W) x 6.5in(L)
Weight: 14 oz
Short Circuit Protection: yes with auto-reset
Overload Protection: yes with auto-reset
Dimmable: fully dimmable using a dimmer designed for an electronic transformer. An electronic transformer can sometimes work with a standard incandescent dimmer. However, to ensure that your lighting system works effectively with the greatest dimming range we recommend that you use a dimmer that was specifically designed to control an electronic low voltage transformer. Additionally, using this type of dimmer will diminish the possibility of an audible hum when the dimmer is used – especially at low light levels. [Caution: dimmer should always be connected to the input side, 120V side, of a transformer.]
UL Recognized Component: UL recognized in USA and Canada
3-Year Warranty: this electronic low voltage transformer carries a 3-year warranty

It works...just enough room in ends for wire connections.

Did not live up to my expectations.Transformer has a noticeable hum to it and the lights attached to it are not as bright.
Small and compact
Hum would not go away
Box Way Too Small

The transformer itself works great. I have seven 20-watt lights hooked up to it. However the box is way too small to make all the connections inside it. Especially on the line voltage side. I could not get the cover back on. In the long run it would have just made more sense to buy a transformer without a box and get a large box to put it in.
