About our Fulham Workhorse-2 Compact, 120-Volt, Electronic Fluorescent Ballast
Description

This Workhorse ballast has a very compact case size and will control a variety of fluorescent lamps, including CFLs and T5 and T8 linear fluorescent light bulbs. This is an instant start ballast, meaning it is best for applications where the lights are not frequently turned on and off. It also carries a 5-year warranty and operates without making an audible buzz.

  • Extremely Versatile: this Fulham Workhorse electronic fluorescent ballast, WH2-120-C, can power CFLs, T5 and T8 linear fluorescent lamps, and T9 circline lamps. See the full list of fluorescent Lamp Type & Lamp Quantity combinations in the table below.
  • Fulham Workhorse 2 Wiring Diagram: please visit the Fulham Workhorse wiring diagram tool for instructions on how to wire this ballast. First, click on the type of light bulb you wish to power on the left side of the screen. Second, find your ballast model along the top. Third, find the wattage of the lamp combination you will be powering and click on the link to view the matching diagram.
  • Features: solid-state electronics, compact case size, high power factor, lightweight, energy saving. Fulham's WorkHorse adaptable electronic ballast family has been a favorite with electrical contractors since 1992. Fewer ballasts on the service truck that can power nearly 900 different lamp combinations saves time and money. The ability of a ballast to accommodate multiple lamp types is a huge time-saver for the person in the field.

Versatile, cleverly-designed ballast
January 10, 2012
As I and many other people are discovering, this ballast will drive an SOX-E18 18W low-pressure sodium lamp. I'm using it in a gutted and converted Lights Of America 9042 CFL fixture. With the lamp base-up in the fixture, the lamp and ballast draw 17.9W at startup and about 16.4W after about 20 minutes of warm-up and stabilization. Compared to the large, heavy $140 ballast/ignitor designed for the SOX-E18 and the 30W input specs, this ballast is a very viable and efficient alternative.
Pros:
* Inexpensive for my application * Small size * Versatile connection and application options * Very low ballast losses
Cons:
* None for my application

I want to make sure is the same ballast before I order.
By Jacob from Pegasus Lighting on February 18, 2013

Answer:
Based on your image, these look to be the same. I would just make sure the models numbers are identical.
