Poorly manufactured.

This classic-styled lamp is obviously an incredible price, but as always, one gets what one pays for. The springs which serve to cantilever the lamp are held in place by these incredible feeble plastic (not rubber) knobs which were forced into place in the assembly process, so they fall off as soon as you take the lamp out of the box. I ordered two of these lamps so I can say with certainty that this is a design flaw. Rather than go to the trouble of returning the lamp, I just try not to move the lamp around too much.
** I should also add that the Pegasus return policy states that the lamps can be returned but need to be in their original state as shipped. We all know that this is not possible if you're assembling the lamp and then discover the defects. A sadly deceptive return policy.
Pros:
Looks like the classic lamp.
Cons:
Does not perform like the classic lamp and the spring system is poorly designed. Surely someone could have come up with something better and equally value engineered?
In the attached photo: the spring on the left with its plastic knob. Nearly all of these knobs were cracked and fell off. On the right, how I attached the spring to the metal holder for the plastic knob instead.
