Could this be used with a dimmable LED light bulb?

Answer:I would recommend the CFL-LED dimmer version of this product which is specifically designed for dimmable LED light bulbs - http://www.pegasuslighting.com/credenza-c-l-dimmer-plug-in-line-voltage.html

Answer:I do use it with a dimmable LED light bulb. However, it's not perfect. I'll try and explain. If you think of the slider as a 1 to 100 where 1 is off and 100 is full on. The LED light bulb I have starts glowing at about 30%, and then I can slide it down to about 20%, but if I go any lower, the LED light will turn off. So you can't actually get just a very slight glow like you can with a regular light bulb. This is not a limitation of the dimmer, I've tried the dimmer, same lamp, with a regular bulb and the slider works perfectly. It is a limitation of the LED light bulb not being 100% dimmable. I've tried two different brand LED bulbs and the CREE seemed to work the better of the two. I also tried it on two different light fixtures and got the same results, regular bulbs are 100% dimmable and LED dimmable bulbs are only dimmable to about 20%, if you pull the dimmer slider all the way up to 100% and back down again.

Answer:Yes. The dimmer works with dimmable LED BULBS, however, I tried it on a dimmable LED TAPE and it seemed to have only two settings and didn't turn the tape off. It's a great product to control a lamp.
