I have a small cabinet that I want to light. I think two 1 foot tape lights will be enough light but they will be on either side of the 20" wide cabinet. To do this installation I believe that I need this LED driver, the two 1 foot tape lights, a 20" connector to connect the lights together.
Does the LED driver connect directly to the lights or do I need a cable for that connection?
I would like the lights to come on when the door opens. Do you have a contact switch (or rocker switch) or do I need to use the motion activated infrared switch? Does the infrared switch require any cabling?

Answer:Kevin, you may need an additional cable to connect the tape light to the driver. It just depends on which Hera tape lighting product you are interested in. If it's the By-the-Foot version, then yes, you need a power connection cord.
You will need to use the motion activated infrared switch because this is a plug-in style product. This switch simply connects via plug and play connectors, so it's easy to install. No extra cabling is needed.
